Kovu

Kovu is the best hero in the TLK series, he's not just your run-of-the-mill hero. He starts off as a villain and turns completely around. That takes some effort.

Actually, he starts out as a hero when he saves Kiara from the crocodiles in the begining of SP, then is turned villian by Zira, but the Simba and Kiara turn him back hero and make him the future king.

No, it's the other way around... Kovu almost got eaten by a crocodile and Kiara had to jump on the crocodile to save him from being crocodile snack.

I honestly think Kovu could have been a great character if Disney had developed him more. "I'm going to kill Simba-- oh wait, I'm in love with Kiara! I suddenly realise that I can't kill Simba! Now I'm going against my own pride just for her!"

Oh, oops, really? I thought Kov pulled Kiara onto the ledge.

Nah, he just attempted to distract the crocodiles and failed, which resulted in him almost getting eaten. xD

Well he tried! Besides, he was friends with Kiara and didn't try to kill her so I say he's a good-guy (thought maybe not a hero)

Oh yeah, I definitely would have liked to see some inner turmoil there, lol. It would have added so much depth to the character.
