Lions need...13 pounds of meat per day, I think?

It's pretty improbable that Simba could scavenge that many bugs in one day.
Heh, inorite? He'd have to scavenge bugs 24/7 to actually survive, and he still wouldn't be full. But oh well, the producers had no choice on this one. Simba was too young to hunt for himself and he didn't even know how, the only lesson he ever got that's related to hunting was his pouncing lesson.
He did live in a jungle, which is filled with insects. Plus, he was younger and smaller, so he would have needed less. I don't think he grew up on an appetizing diet - slimy yet satisfying. They will remove your hunger, but you won't have a reason to feast on them. Great dieting tools.
Yes, but he still feasted on them as an adult. Unless he somehow taught himself how to hunt, he'd starve.. But oh well, nothing is completely realistic in TLK so trying to bring logic into this is pointless.

Pointless, but fun :P

As far as I can remember, it was never officially announced that Simba continued his diet into adulthood. Perhaps he taught himself to hunt and was secretly a carnivore during his time with Timon and Pumbaa.

I notice ppl in the upper and midle class are rather disgusted by bugs and dirt. Well... they are good for you so do try some^^
Well also dun get why you ppl are so scared of them. I can sleep with Cockroaches in my hair or ants around my shirt I don't see the big deal unless its a poisoness one.

Another thing that people here seem to forget is that us humans cook our food. In the end, all meat tastes roughly the same when cooked. Everything tastes the same when burned (but then it's useless). The French eat snails. Claim they taste lick chicken. Snails are close enough to insects...

lol I'm probably going to freak some of you out by saying this, but bugs really do taste good XD And I ain't kidding here

In my country, we eat bugs :B Cocoons, crickets, fried worms, you name it. They're actually not so bad. I've eaten buckets of fried worms before, and frankly, they're not much different from potato chips, and they're crunchy XD

We call them "Rot duan", which can be translated as "fast train". It's because they look like trains or something :B Ironically, they're expensive, and only sold in the northern regions:

No offense intended, but I think Thai food is weird. I went to a friend's house for her birthday once and they fed us fried chicken heads.

lol Hi 5 man XD

Bugs are awesome. In fact, if I could, I'd like some fried worms right now :ed: Ants are pretty good too.

I noticed that higher class people don't touch them though :B You know, business men's children and big company owners, they're disgusted by dirt and silly putty for no reason >.> lol
