Mother's tears that were never cried...

Postby UncoordinatedPisces » March 19th, 2011, 12:26 pm

Plot -
Giza, a two week old cub, was dying. He knew he was. Abandoned by his evil mother and abusive father, he had no hope. Until, if by destiny, a young lioness called Dafina finds him. Her and her brother, Balozi, are rouges. Giza was soon taken in by Dafina and was soon happy and saw her as a mother. She told him his parents were dead, not wanting to tell him he was abandoned. 1 year later, everything was going fine. However, Giza kept having nightmares of his abusive parents, and another lioness who just watched. One day, his real mother called Amani, his father, Kuchan and his auntie Nimu find him alone. They tell him there his real family and that Dafina was evil to tell him that they were dead. So, they take him away, but his real family are not all what they seem. They physically and mentally abuse him, especially Kuchan. Giza was homesick for Dafina and Dafina was missing Giza terribly. Her and Balozi began to track them down. Will the mother that never was find her adopted son?

Balozi lay spread out under a tree, trying to enjoy the last bit of morning before he would actually have to get up. But for some reason, as inviting as a bit for sleep was, he couldn't relax enough to close his eyes again. Dafina, his sister, had left earlier in the morning to do some scouting.
Being rouges, they always went wherever they wanted. The free lifestyle certainly had it's advantages. Balozi smiled a little as he thought about it. It was also kind of funny how the rouge lifestyle mirrored a prides' lifestyle. Hunting was the same. Fighting off hostile intruders was replaced with fighting off anyone hostile in the area. Looking out for intruders was n different than being on your guard all the time. The only real difference was the changing scenery, and the lack of a pride as a family. But he didn't mind. The changing scenery was nice, and Balozi didn't mind the loneliness. He still had his sister to hang around with, so it wasn't like he was totally alone. And it was easier to hunt with two lions than one.
Thinking of his sister, Balozi looked up from where he was lying when he saw her coming back with something dangling from her mouth. Looks like she caught some breakfast.
Getting up, Balozi walked over to his sister. Hey, you're back. How did it go, Daffy? he asked. He then saw that the dangling thing from her mouth was still alive, and it was a lion cub, not pray. What's with the cub? It's not everyday you have someone brings along a cub in the morning.

OOC: What do you think? If it's bad, feel free to disregard this post, but I wanted to start the RP along.

OCC: Very nice post, but I did want me or TheWistlerify to post first though.....don't worry I have the perfect idea.

"I found him, by the river" Dafina replied, as she placed the cub on the floor. "I'll tell you what happened" she added. "So, while I went out hunting, he was there....just lying there", "At first I thought he was dead, so I went up and nudged him a bit, he opened his eyes!", "The only thing he said was 'Giza', that must be his name", Dafina finished. She watched the little cub wriggle around and try to stand up. "What...what are we going to do with him?".

Balozi looked at Giza. The poor cub looked like it went through a lot. His body looked malnourished, and he had no less than a few cuts on his fur. The first thought that entered Balozi's mind was to leave him. They were rogues. What do they know about raising a cub? But the thought vanished quicker than it came. The cub needed help, and Dafina found him. It would be cruel to just abandon the cub when he needs help the most.

Balozi sighed. I guess that we can take care of him. It's going to be hard, having to watch out for him. But I see no other way. Unless you have any other ideas? He looked at the cub again. Giza seemed to be trying to escape Dafina's gentle but firm grip.

Vahvuus sat silently under the shade of a large Acacia tree, being his usual stoic self. It was still early in the morning, but Vah was usually the first one to wake up out of, well, everyone he knew. He didn't really know too many others other than Nimu, his Aunt, Kuchan, his father and Amani, his mother. Vah sighed to himself as he closed his eyes, bowing his head down at the same time. There was Giza, too. He knew Giza...his little brother. Only for a very, very short amount of time did Vah know Giza, and in that short time, nothing but disgust and anger flowed through Vah's body. It wasn't disgust and anger aimed at Giza, no, but it was aimed at his own parents and his aunt.

Right from the onset of Giza's life, he was abused and ill-treated by his parents and aunt. Vah could do nothing but watch on in horror as his brother was being physically abused and emotionally and mentally torn apart. There was a reason why Vah didn't join in with any of it. He didn't want to be anything like his parents and aunt. Well, he didn't get inolved with the majority of it, anyway. Definitely not the physical side of things. The only times he did get involved was just to keep up his façade and to fool Kuchan, Amani and Nima into thinking he still agreed with what they were doing to Giza. Vah chuckled darkly to himself. 'Yeah, right. Like I'll ever agree with them'. Vah thought to himself, his calm expression returning to his face as he opened his eyes and raised his head again.

Now, though, Giza was gone. Most likely dead now. It wouldn't take long for something to kill him out there in the unknown. Especially considering all of the pain dealt to him by Amani, Nimu and most prominently, Kuchan. Starvation was probably the most likely thing that would kill him and, as much as Vah hated to admit it, he knew that Giza was dead. He had to be. Vah shook his head and attempted to push those thoughts out of his head, without success. Pushing himself up from the ground, Vah decided to take a small walk around the surrounding area. He didn't know how it would help, but maybe something else would take his mind off of it. It wasn't like he wanted to be near his parents or aunt anyway.

((OOC: Is this alright Amyz? Sorry, i'm in a writing mood :D))

Giza woke up surprised. At first he thought he was dead, but he knew he wasn't as soon as he felt his hunger, emotional and physical pain. His head was dizzy due to lack of water, food and rest, but he could hear talking around him. He deeply hoped that those weren't anyone who would pose a threat to him. He tried to stand up, but his body wouldn't allow it. He again collapsed onto the ground and just lay there silently.

Amani awoke as the hot sun beated down on her shimmering cream pelt, as she roled onto her back her blue eyes glistened in the morning sun, she streched out and got to her paws, her stomach growled "time to find somthing to eat" she said quietly to herself before she headed off towards a waterhole to get her morning drink and hopeing to find her sister Nimu so they could go and hunt for Kuchan's breakfast.

Balozi watched as Giza slowly moved. He then realized that there was no food for the cub, and slowly got up. The movement startled Dafina and she looked at him quizzically.

I'm going to get something for the cub to eat. Balozi said. He looks starved, and we don't have anything already dead here. I'll be back soon enough. He looked at Giza again. I guess that you're going to look after the cub? he asked. He turned and ventured out into the savanna, looking for some pray to catch.

OCC: Everyone's posts are looking great =]

Dafina watched Balozi leave thought for a good while. "Should I raise him? I would need to nurse him and everything.......". She watched the little cub stir and wobble around. Dafina went over to the cub and picked him up in her mouth, and placed him at her side. "Go on then little Giza, suckle". As soon as Giza started suckling, something connected them...even though they were not blood relatives, she now had a mother-cub bond. Soon Balozi returned with a large male warthog he had brought down. "I will raise him, brother...it looks like he was abandoned though" she whispered when the cub had dozed off. "We better not tell him, for all we know, the parents could be dead".
