The story is about the pridelands in a completely different time. The king (Mosi) and the queen (Almasi) have children: Basha, Fumo and Amana. The three were all born around the same day. Basha was the first born, Fumo was the second and Amana was the last. Fumo was the one who was chosen as the heir to the throne despite the fact that Basha was the first born, so Basha hates him for it, though she never shows it in her behaviour. Besides the royal familly, there also lives another lion named Muroki and another lioness named Fadhili. The story starts one day when a rogue named Dakari comes and asks if he can join the pride.

It was an early morning in the pridelands. Mosi, the king, was the first one to wake up as usual. He silently got up and walked out of the den so that he could go on his daily morning patrol. Usually the rest of their small pride woke up after he did and whenever he came back from his patrol everyone was awake.

The next one to wake up was Muroki. He yawned and stretched before looking around him. The king was already gone and of course that he was the only one awake. It was always like that; he woke up and got bored, but he had to wait untill someone else woke up. The pale-furred, black-maned lion sighed and decided to wait untill anybody else woke up.

Almasi woke up as the morning sun shone into the den, she looked to her side to see that her mate was already gone on his morning patrol, she raised her head and looked around to see that her children were still asleep “they have grown up so quickly” she sighed to herself, she dragged herself to her paws and padded over to were Amana lay and gently nuzzled her cheek “wake up sweetie” she said softly in her daughters ear.

Amana heard her mother talking to her “leave me alone” the grouchy princess moaned at her mothers wake up call, she then waved her paws as if to tell her mother to go away.

Fumo woke up as soon as he heard his mothers voice, he streched his legs an headed to the enterence of the den to bathe himself in the hot morning sun and to wait for his father to return.

Muroki saw the queen was awake, and like he always did smiled at her and said, "Good morning ma'am." it seemed like it was going to be another regular, boring morning as far as he understood.

Fadhili was the last one to wake up. For some reason she felt like leaving the den. As she looked towards the exit she noticed Fumo by the entrance. For some reason she felt her cheeks go red for some reason. She quickly shook her head and said to herself, 'Just go have your morning drink and say good morning when you pass by.' she went ahead and headed outside. When she arrived at Fumo's side she forced a smile, "Good morning Fumo." she then got nervous so she forced herself to start walking again.

Almasi heard her usual morning greeting from Muroki and turned and nodded her head towards him as if to return his greeting “why you up so early handsom” she asked the young male

Fumo smiled as he seen Fadhili's embarassed expresion “would you like to join me for a drink” he asked as he got to his paws before she got out of sight

Basha lay quiet, she had been awake for a while but didnt want to socialize.

Muroki flushed, "Uh... I guess I couldn't sleep ma'am." he said, before noticing that Basha was awake. He wanted to say good morning to her but she didn't seem to be in a mood.

Fadhili then froze. She stood still for a few seconds, her back turned against him before forcing herself to turn around. She smiled a more genuine smile at him and said, "Sure, I'd love that."

Almasi chuckled to herself as she noticed Muroki looking at Basha, she walked over to him and sat by his side, she leaned in and whisperd into his ear “go and speak to her, she wont bite” she cuckled to herself again as she nudged the handsome young male into her daughters direction.

Fumo walked over to Fadhili's side “shall we” he said as he pointed his paw towards the mound of priderock for Fadhili to go first “ladys first” he said as he smiled and winked at her.

Amana couldent get back to sleep after her mother woke her, she rolled onto her back and looked around the den, she seen her mother sitting next to Muroki and she also noticed her sister lieing on her own, she yawned loudly and turned back onto her belly, she then streched out and looked around again when she seen her mother nudge Muroki towards Basha, she got to her paws and started walking towards her mother.

Muroki got nervous as the mother nudged him towards her daughter, and he knew that now he had no choice but to gether the courage and talk to her. The fact that he didn't have anything to lose was cheerful to him somehow. He took a deep breath before slowly walking towards Basha. "Uh, Basha?" he asked nervously, "Uh... Hi... Nice morning isn't it?"

Fadhili again felt her cheeks go red. "Uh, yeah sure." she said, smiling slightly as she noitced his wink. She went ahead and slowly walked ahead of him, but not too fast so that he could also keep up with her.

Basha sat up as she heard Muroki speak to her “yes, its lovley” she said,she felt her cheeks burning as she blushed, she lowered her head and giggled to herself, “what brings you in my direction” she asked and waited for a reply.

Fumo followed closley behind Fadhili down the mond of priderock, he then walked by her side as they made their way to the waterhole, he was a sort of shy young male and didnt really know what to say, but he tryed to make conversation, “its lovley out hear isnt it, i could never imagin living anywere else” he told her as they walked

Amana looked to her mother “why do you do these things to her, you know how un sociable she is” she asked, refairing to her mothers match making.

Almasi smiled, looking pretty proud of herself, “well she has to learn to socialize, if she doesnt she will never find a mate” she told Amana, she them looked over to see that Basha and Muroki were talking “see she just needs a little encouragement” she told Amana.

Muroki was relieved when Basha didn't get mad at him talking to her. However he again grew nervous as she asked him why did he talk to her in the first place, "Well, I uh..." he never thought he would get to that part. "I was wondering..." he rubbed his head nervously with one of his paws, "If you'd like to maybe... hangout, or do anything together?"

Fadhili smiled, "Yeah, I really love this place..." she then fell silent untill they got to the waterhole. She realised that they were alone, but she didn't know what to do. After having her fill of water she hesitated, but then said, "So..."

Basha could feel her face getting hotter as her blushing became more obviouse, she hardly ever spoke to any of the pride members so Muroki's request was new to her “that would be nice, what did you have in mind” she asked him, she didnt really know what to say or do so she just sat frozen to the spot.

Fumo lapped up some of the cool refreshing water and then heard Fadhili speak, he turned to her and flashed her another smile, he then lowered himself to the ground in a playfull manner and pounced towards her, knocking both of them into the waterhole.
