Screaming was heard throughout the town.

Surprisingly the screaming reached the town. Kodi recognised that scream. He would recognise that screaming even in the middle of the night.

Annabeth just tried to hold back any weakness. "Is that all you got? My father trained you pathetically. And you keep doing it because Kodi will come and save me."

The wolves laughed, "We're not afraid of a dog. Besides, once he gets here the point of keeping you here will no longer make sense." they knew that she was only the bait.

Annabeth just laughed, "You should be afraid of him. He beat an entire wolf pack by himself you cowards!"

The wolves just laughed, "Yeah, we believe that."

Annabeth just laughed, "It doesn't matter. You're all cowards!" Her stomach started to hurt real bad and she started to groan.

The wolves tried to just ignored her. "What's the matter with ya?"

Kodi meanwhile was stalking the big group of wolves from behind the bushes. Suddenly he noticed a wolf was watching him. He wasn't very familliar with wolves, but from the looks of it he realised that the wolf he was facing was a female. He got nervous, but the wolf did not attack. She just stared at him and then said, "You should go away." she didn't look like it, but she sounded older than Annabeth was. He slowly shook his head, "I can't leave." he looked away from her. Then again, he also couldn't do anything with all the wolves watching Annabeth. When he looked towards the female wolf again she was gone.
