Gakuru thought about it, 'It could be that monster... Then again, it might not be him. Either way... he's really far away from here.' Gakuru, who was a really fast runner, ran away with the cubs for over an hour already. Even if someone did pick the exact same direction it would take for him to find Gakuru, it would still take him alot of time to catch up.

The cub said, "Something wrong sir?"

Gakuru just said, "No." he found another small den which was right next to a small waterhole, "We'll stay here."

The cub nodded and said to him, "So how was your family sir?"

Gakuru decided to not ruin the cub's somehow improved mood by telling him about his depressive cubhood. "My familly life was a normal one."

The cub smiled, "Oh that must have been great sir. I am envious..."

Gakuru managed to smile back at the cub, "You shouldn't be. You're safe now."

The cub said, "There are just a lot of painful memories ya know?"

Gakuru said, "They're only painful if you continue thinking about them." who knew better than him? "Just forget them."
