Rescue teams from many, really many countries are arriving at Japan and start rescuing the refugees.
The team from U.S. is starting rescue program called "Project Tomodachi".

Famous professor at Kyoto University, an authority on atomic energy, insists that there is no risk of meltdown.
Even at worst, volatile cesium and iodine would leak around the plant, and that gives little influence on human body.
Still less, there is no possibility of nuclear explosion at all. If something would exolode, that would be big hydrogen explosion, like an science experiment at the laboratory.
A false rumor are abroad now, so it is important to get accurate imformation.

Anyway, nuclear problem is not to be concerned about.

I thought it was already going through minor stages of meltdown? (Don't mean to sound harsh, just curious)
We even have been told that evacuation has been issued around the area... And that they are working to save the plant.

The death toll is expected to exceed 10,000, and climbing. I can't believe this is happening. It's so horrible. My heart goes out to all the Japanese people that have been affected by this disaster.

Yes, I've heard negative things about Japan too. Saying "Why should we help them? They're nothing special"
That is sickening. I can't believe a person said that about another human being(s).

I really hope help gets there fast and can find the missing and save the injured My heart really goes out to everyone affected.

It's sickening to think that there are people in this world who thinks that Japan is nothing and shouldn't be helped. No one deserves this. Absolutely no one. To the deceased people, and to the loved ones left behind, I pray for you.

I too pray for everyone that this tsunami has affected. My relatives in Sendai were luckily evacuated in time but unfortunately they are living in their cars now because one lost their house and the others have no electricity or water. The tsunami also hit the coast of cali too and a few of my friends' boats are wrecked because of the surge but luckily there was very minimal damage over here.
