Nello went over to him, "Do you know who was the one who didn't make it all those years ago?" even though it basicly had nothing to do with him, Nello figured he should be the letting his friend know.

The buck shook his head. "That was why I ased your father." Marena said, "Well there was this doe that my father was in love with at the time. I was named after her. Her name was Marena. She was the one that didn't make it."

Nello silently nodded."Yeah, that's why..." suddenly he looked at his sister, "Where's mom?" he never saw her ever since before the fire.

Marena said, "We forgot to look for her. She has to be somewhere in this herd."

Nello said, "What if she's not here?"

Marena shook her head, "Then I will feel lost."

Nello nodded. He started walking between all the deer who did remain on the island and looked for his mother.

Marena also started to look and the buck thought it would be a good idea to help.
