Shari lifted himself off the ground while maintaining his grip on Tivana. He could feel her bone in his paw through her flesh. She was a strong lioness, and she had put up a good fight. But it was over. Even if she managed to escape, Shari knew her weakness and could take her down with ease. All he had to do was find this Tuva. Kiara threatened Shari to let her go. But Shari only looked at her and smiled. He was following the mission to alienate himself from the Pride Lands. But he didn't care. As long as he could complete the mission and have a little fun on the way.
Just then, something caught his eye. Kovu had arrived. Hiding in the nearby bushes, Shari saw this, but kept his eyes on the lionesses. If he took his eyes off the two for even a moment, he'd pay for it. And suddenly, Tivana took one final slash as Shari's face. It slashed into his right eye horizontally. He jerked his head to the side and cried in pain. But he didn't release Tivana from his grip. Shari could feel the blood running down his muzzle. He could only imagine how it looked now. "You will pay for that!" Shari yelled as he raised his free paw to strike Tivana.
But he was unable to finish the attack. For not but 50 yards away, Simba and Nala ran to the group. Shari cursed in his mind as he kept his paw in the air. Thinking about his options. He could finish Tivana and make Kovu look even better but... every second was precious to fulfill the mission. Shari sighed and gave Kovu a side glance. Shari shook his head so slightly, that nobody would have noticed except for Kovu. It was time for the 'hero' to jump in.

Simba ran onto the scene with blazing speed. "Kiara!" He cried out, glaring at the outsider. His right eye bared the scar that Scar had had... but there was another scar on his right eye that made the scar into an X. He was clearly evil, but his intentions, Simba did not know. All he knew was that he had tried to kill Kiara, and that would not stand in his kingdom! Simba roared at the outsider with vigor and strength, as Shari finally released his grip on Tivana... but not because of Simba's appearance.
