[Closed] King of Pride Rock

This story will be set in the Pridelands during Scar's reign. A lonely lioness meets a rogue with whom she instantly falls in love. They develop a close bond and have a cub together; a son who soon turns out to have magical powers. They then start training him to one day take over the Pridelands, and become King of Pride Rock..

Tamaa yawned as she opened her eyes. The sun had risen, the sky had turned a lovely shade of blue and the birds had begun to sing. It would have been a beautiful morning had things only been different..had the past few months only been a bad dream. But she had understood by now that this wasn't the case. This was no dream. The hyenas, the lack of food. The tyranny. It was their reality, it was their life, and it was ending one day at a time..
She stood up and began to walk out of the little den she had made herself the previous night, hoping she wouldn't run into Scar or the hyenas as she did so.

Morning had begun in the decimated Shadow Lands. Ever since the just king Mufasa had died, the lands hadn't been the same. But Scar didn't care. His mind was on more pressing matters. Like finally being the king he was born to be. No more bowing to his weak brother, no more being stuck with his nephew. Scar finally had everything he deserved. And nothing was going to rid the lands of his rule.

Scar rose from his 'throne' and walked out of the den into the light. His face bared a mixed bag of expressions. The land hadn't been as prosperous as he'd thought, but it was better than being under the rule of his brother. He gazed over to the gorge and a wicked smile formed on his muzzle. The fact that he knew what happened, and that nobody else would ever know.

Suddenly, something caught his eye. Tamaa had just walked out of her den. She seemed rather unsteady, keeping an eye out for someone she didn't want to run into. But Scar had business to attend to with her. Yesterday, Sarabi had brought back only enough food for Scar and several others. But that wasn't good enough. Perhaps Scar could get something more out of Tamaa.

Scar shouted out as loud as he could "Tamaa!" He then stopped ten yards away from her. Holding his head high, Scar saw no reason why the king should have to travel further for her sake. His eyes squinted in a narcissistic, royal attitude, staring at Tamaa, waiting for her response.

She turned around. "Scar." she muttered, gazing at the dark figure before her and reluctantly walking towards him. "What do you want?"

[Harvs]

Scar looked at her with an evil glimmer in his eye. "Is that any way to refer to your king?" He started. If he was to be king, then his subjects would show him respect.

But continuing the conversation, Scar circled Tamaa and asked "Never mind. You know Sarabi better than I. What has she done with the rest of the food?"

Being king had its perks, one of which being able to do whatever he wanted, but Scar wanted to know why Sarabi and the hunting party wasn't bringing back all of the food that was in the Pride Lands. Still circling Tamaa, Scar impatiently awaited her reply.

Tamaa merely stared at him.
"What d'ya mean, 'done with the rest of the food' ? We all had our share, and that was it. There wasn't anything left after that, Scar." she said, raising her eyebrows.

[Harvs]

Scar stared blankly into space, shocked at what he thought he heard. Then slowly turned to Tamaa. "I think... you're hiding something."

Looking through the land, he saw none of the large herds that he'd seen before. Back in the days of Mufasa's reign, there was always so much food. What had changed here? What was different? Whatever the case, Scar was king, and he would not let the greedy lionesses keep the lion's share for themselves.

Scar moved his paw in a 'shoo' gesture, dismissing Tamaa for the moment. As he turned back toward the den, he turned his head slightly and called out "Tell Sarabi to double the food order."

Tamaa gazed at him one more time to let him know that she had heard him, however she did not reply. She turned around, continuing her walk towards the water-hole while she rapidly scanned the landscape ahead of her. Spotting Nala and Sarafina, she let out a little sigh of relief; the hyenas wouldn't dare tease her if she was surrounded by other lionesses. At least she hoped they wouldn't, but one could never know for sure. They had been more annoying than usual the last couple of days.

Nala was standing next to her mother. She was a teen by now and not as scared about the hyena's as she was before and would defend Tamaa with all her might if they attacked. However, she was forced to hunt because of the already lack of food.

Sarabi was sitting behind Priderock on a edge, seeing the lands, destroyed and dead. "Why did this had to happen, Mufasa?" She wishpered to herself. Feeling the wind breeze of her beloved king, Mufasa.

"Good morning." Tamaa muttered silently as she approached Nala and Sarafina. "Have you guys seen Sarabi around? I need to speak with her."
