Nello slowly nodded, "I can lead you to them." Membo was confused for a moment before realising that the doe noticed he was wet. She seemed familliar, "Do I know you?"

The buck just nodded. "Lead the way." The doe laughed, "I am just an old friend of long ago."

Nello led him to where his grandparents usually were. When they got there only his grandmother was there, but he went ahead and said, "Ma'am?" the old doe slowly looked around. Membo suddenly recognised her and smiled, "I can't believe it's you!" he never expected seeing her again, "It's been a year!"

Suddenly there were a lot of deer in the area and they all said, "We heard Laini's grandson has returned. He is a sight reviled!" They went ahead and booed him. The buck just kept his head up and didn't let that get to him. "Grandmother I am here." The doe smiled, "It's good to see you."

Membo heard the name Laini but couldn't recognise it. He looked at the doe, "Who's Laini?" Laini slowly got up and walked over to her grandson. She just stared at him for a few moments without saying anything.

The grandson just gulped when she said nothing. Meanwhile the deer kept booing at him. The doe sighed and said to Membo, "I missed you."

Laini looked at her grandson. She was happy to see him but did not show it, "Why are you here?" Membo smiled, "Really?" he didn't expect her to say that.

The doe nodded. The buck tried to gather his thoughts, "I uh wanted to see you. I'm sorry for everything I ever said to you that was negative. It is...everything that has happened is my fault."

Membo smiled and said, "I missed you too." Laini continued looking at him without saying anything.

The buck just said nothing and put his head down. "I shall live out the rest of my life in exile if that is what is wished." The doe said, "What have you been up to?"
