Kodi sighed, having no idea what exactly could Annabeth do to help him. However he said, "You're right..." he looked at the dead wolf, "I bet he has some friends..." he tried to get up but failed.

Annabeth tried to put his legs aroun d her back to give him some support. Suddenly more howling was heard. "That is why I said we can't stay here very long. If they see you as weak they'll kill you immediately."

Kodi managed to somehow hold onto Annabeth and get on her back, "We should hurry..."

Annabeth nodded and said, "We can try and head back the way we came..." Suddenly wolves came around that way. "We should try and..." Suddenly wolves were all around them and they were laughing.

All Kodi could do was curse at his bad luck. 'You've got to be kidding me...'

The wolves kept laughing and said, "Look at that weak dog. What a fool!"

Kodi said nothing so to not get things even worse.

The wolves frowned, "Hey dog we are talking to you! You wimp!"

Kodi began to feel his eyes go heavy again and he had trouble keeping them open. This wasn't the time to go unconscious. "You're right. I'm just a wimp." he only said it so to make them less mad at him, but deep inside he felt like it was true.

The wolves laughed, "Yes you are a wimp! What makes you think you are worthy enough to mate with a female wolf?!" They laughed even more and kept putting his self-esteem down. Annabeth whispered, "We'll see if we can get around them..." However they kept blocking the way.
