Kodi hesitated but then said, "I'm afraid I can't do that."

The wolf said, "Then you die." Annabeth said, "Kodi you can't beat him! I'll...be alright."

Kodi was still for a few moments but he finally left. He didn't go too far but only went behind a tree and waited.

The wolf said, "Hahaha the fool. Dogs cannot protect wolves!" He then looked at Annabeth, "I defeated him so you must be my mate now."

Kodi waited for the wolf to be distracted.

The had his back to Kodi, "And now..."

Kodi then quietly walked over to the wolf and bashed him on the head. He looked at Annabeth, "Can we agree to not come back to this place?"

Suddenly the wolf woke up and bit him on his back. 'You foolish dog! You cannot defeat a wolf! We are your masters!"

Kodi screamed in agony. It was probably the most paintful feeling he'd ever been through in his entire life. He fell onto the ground said to Annabeth, "Run..."

Annabeth however immediately used her body to shield his. The wolf looked in disgust, "You are protecting a weaker branch!" Annabeth said, "You leave him alone!"
