But he made his own choice to die. Because he knew Simba is alive and he didn't thought that he WILL return. I think, Ahadi DIDNT tell him about; The Great King's In The Stars. So, he thought Simba will not return if he had his plan in that way. He should've knew that.

But Scar didn't know that Simba was alive. He only found out years later, when he actually did return.

Yeah, good point. I guess he trusted them so much he didn't even think about asking to see Simba's body. Good thing he didn't, or he would probably have gone looking for him.
