Aleu's mind suddenly drifted to her former future-mate. She remembered the exact same scene that Annabeth has just described; the way she felt safe when his head was on top of hers or when he was holding her in his arms... To her it seemed like she was destinied into living the rest of her life single and lonely, and that made her sad. She forced the negative thoughts aside, "Yeah, hopefully..."
