The female dog looked at Kirby and smiled, "Oh, it's okay. I just got here anyways." Kodi then looked at Ralph, finding the moment rather akward, "So..."

Ralph said, "I am going to stay here and relax..." He laid down. Soon Annabeth cautiously approached the mail room. She saw Kodi so knocked on the glass. "What was that?" Ralph said. Kirby just nodded.

Kodi was relieved when Annabeth noticed Ralph had heard her and hid. He looked at his friend, "What was what?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. The female dog then fell silent. After a few moments she began to feel the akwardness of the situation, "So..."

Ralph said, "That noise...Didn't you hear that?" He shook his head. "Well I am going to get some sleep. See ya Kodi." Annabeth hid as Ralph left. She soon entered and sighed, "We can expect this often." She then said, "I came to warn you...my father is going to try and kill you. A dog named Steele told him about you." Kirby said, "So do you want to see something?"

Kodi looked at her, "Steele?" his father told him aobut Steele more than a few times but he never met him because the other dogs kicked him out way before Kodi was even born. He sighed and said, "Let's at least go somewhere safer and then see what we can do." The female smiled, "Like what?"

Kirby said, "Well if I tell you it wouldn't be a surprise." Annabeth nodded and said, "Yes Steele." She went ahead and followed Kodi but said, "I know who you are now. You are Balto's son. I knew there had to be some relation I just couldn't put it together. So you are 1/4 wolf." She shook her head.

The female again smiled, "Oh, a surprise? So do I like... cover my eyes or something?" Kodi sighed, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you..." he said with pure honesty, "It's just that when I found out why you were here, I couldn't. I was also afraid that you'd hate me for it..."

Kirby just laughed, "The surprise isn't that close unfortunately." Annabeth said, "It's okay. I know why you didn't tell me. My whole pride knows who you are though and they know your face. You are not safe. I'll...I'll try to stop them Kodi." She then said, "If your friends find out about this?"

The female said, "Oh... So uh... Where is it?" she smiled. Kodi hesitated, "Well, my friends kind of hate wolves because of what happened to Dusty..."
