Her father growl, "Looks like he's a sneaky one... I'm not surprised, just like his mother!" again he grew angry at the mention of Balto's mother.

Steele yelled out, "Someone answer me or bring me to that wolf-dog Balto!" Annabeth said, "Yes father." Perhaps I can talk to you alone for a moment?"

It was then when humans started going out of their houses and heading to where ever they always headed. The owner of Kodi and Dusty entered the pet clinic so that he could talk to the vet. Annabeth's father looked at her, "Of course you can. What kind of a stupid question is that?" he then walked away with her so that he could hear what she had to say.

Kirby soon woke up and said to Ralph, "We better go meet Dusty and Kodi as they leave the clinic." They both rushed over to the front door. Steele started to look around for any dogs. Suddenly he saw one, "Hey you! Over here!" Annabeth sighed and said, "What uh if I am ready to mate with someone?"

Kodi's owner entered the vet's work room. It was still an early hour of the morning so he wasn't busy with anything. Kodo's owner looked at the sleeping Dusty and Kodi and went over to the vet, "How are they?" the doctor looked around at him and said, "The male is good to go, and the female will stay here untill tomorrow just in case. But don't worry, they'll both be up and running for the next mail-run." The dog Steele called to nervously walked over to him. Annabeth's father was silent for a few moments before saying, "If you're ready then you're ready." Suddenly he laughed, "The question is if the other side's ready." obviously he was very serious when it came to that subject about his daughter.

Steele told him, "I am the champion around here! I am Steele! Now tell me kind sir where I might find an adoring audience and that wolf-dog!" Annabeth continued on, "Yes He loves me and I love him. We are supposed to hate dogs right?"

The dog looked surprised, "You're Steele?" he had a strange expression on his face. Annabeth's father eyes her carefully, "Of course you're supposed to hate dogs!" he then asked, "Who are we speaking of?" of course that he was going to need to approve of the entire thing first.

Annabeth then lied, "That partner wolf you sent with me I love him." Steele said, "Yes I am! What is it to you?"

Annabeth's father was silent for a moment. The companion was one of his most loyal and useful pack members after all, and he did seem to have the qualities of a leader. "Does he know of your... 'feelings' towards him?" A frown appeared on the dog's face as he looked at Steele, "I heard about what you've done. Not cool dude." Meanwhile Kodi woke up and the vet then opened his cage. Kodi's owner smiled and patted him on the head, "Good boy." it was then when Ralph and Kirby showed up. Usually the vet allowed anyone inside whenever he wasn't busy so he wasn't didn't force the two dogs to leave.

Kirby waited for both Dusty and Kodi to get out of the clinic before they said anything. Once they were out they said, "Thank goodness you guys are okay!" Kirby then motioned Dusty to say what she needed to say to Kodi. Annabeth again lied, "Yes I told him that I liked him and we kissed eachother when we were on this assignment you gave us father." Steele then said, "Now listen here you young rabel you have heard nothing but lies. I was the one cheated by Balto! He humiliated me! I want to see him. A wolf pack is outside and will attack every dog in this town on my command!"
