LOL nice find Miko. I never thought Rowling's Harry Potter books were very original. It always seemed like she'd copied the idea from some place...

According to this logic, even Star Wars was a rip-off. Citizen Kane etc and lots of movies made way before Star Wars followed the same pattern. See http://www.clickok.co.uk/index4.html for a decent analysis of the hero's journey in film and lots of examples. There's more to it than meets the eye.

Haha, this is cool to see because we just finished learning about Heros Journey in Film Studies. Turns out a LOT of movies are used by following Heros Journey though things always differe a little bit though I must admit Star Wars and Harry Potter sure are similer
