Annabeth's companion looked at him with a confused expression, "Are you serious?"

Annabeth gave a look to him to tell him that someone was eavesdropping. "Oh yes we are. The dog needs his sleep ya know? Tomorrow we are going to get them both but tonight we'll let them rest."

Annabeth's companion then nodded and after a few moments managed to climb back up. He placed Kodi on the floor and growled, "I'll avenge my friend. Just you wait..." he then hopped back down and rejoined Annabeth. Balto didn't know what exactly to think.

Annabeth then whispered, "I bet you that annoying wolf-dog is here spying on us. That tells me yet again this dog is of importance to him. He is either a close friend or a family member to the wolf-dog." She then said, "Maybe you can find him..."

Her companion looked at her and whispered, "I thought he was spying on us because he heard our talk from before." he then shook his head, "I probably could but there are too many filthy and stinky dogs in this town. It's hard to determine which scent is his..."

Annabeth then just shook her head and said, "You put the dog all the way up on the second floor didn't you?" Again it took all of her might to get up there. When she was there she looked at him and she could feel something at the end of her stomach however that faded when he woke up. She again got gruff. "Alright dog now I know you are a family member to this wolf-dog! Speak!"

Kodi was kind of hoping to not find Annabeth there when he woke up. "I don't know what you're talking about!" he then again told her what he did before, "I'm saying this again; Everyone knows him. He comes into town every day but I don't know where he lives!"

Annabeth said, "You are really starting to bug me dog! Now talk or I'll make you watch the female dog die!"

Kodi also got angry, "What's the big idea?!" he walked straight up to her, "What did she do to you? Why don't you just torture me?" he just stood there and looked at her, "Well? Go ahead, hurt me."
