Gakuru didn't wait for his father to notice he was awake He slashed him on the throat, right on the spot where Dakari did earlier that day, "The world will thank me for this." he knew that if he had done that right away Mufalfa would still be alive. He stuck his jaws straight in his father's throat.

The adolescent hit Gakuru on the head again. "You idiot. Boss are you okay?" Mzuri's father said, "No." Suddenly a wind blew right into both of them obscuring their view. Mufalfa's voice said to Fadhili, Mzuri, and Dakari, "Run, lions, run."

Dakari, Mzuri and Fadhili were about to run, but Fadhili stopped. She picked Gakuru up and then they all ran. There were no chances that Mzuri's father would make it. He had lost alot of blood when Dakari slashed him earlier and now Gakuru also did some demage. They all ran and ran.

Soon there was nothing left to do except to go back to Marini so Mzuri told them all, "We should go back to our pride." Of course she was speaking of Mufalfa's. She then said to Fadhili, "I have to tell Marini about it."

Fadhili sighed and said, "You're right." she suddenly felt bad. All he wanted was her to be happy, and the fact that he insisted that she and Kujasiri got back together meant that Kujasiri really hadn't meant to try and take adventage of her. She didn't know if he would want to give her another chance.

Once they were back she tried to smell to see where Marini was. She heard her talking to her cubs. She cautiously approached and said, "Oh ma'am the cubs are so cute. They are just like you...and the father." She paused as she said that but continued. "The father that is no longer here with us..."

Fadhili slowly placed Gakuru down. Marini looked at Mzuri, "What?!" it obviously caught her by surprised. She started to panic, "What will I tell the cubs?!" at some point it was impossible to understand what she was saying.

Mzuri sighed and said to Marini, "Tell them how brave he was by saving all of our lives. If he wasn't there we would have all died." She sighed and went over by Dakari. "What now?"

Marini soon calmed down. Her loud talking was gone but she was sobbing without control. Fadhili was still sitting there all shocked. Dakari sighed and said to Mzuri. "I don't know..." he put his paw around her shoulder, "Today made me realise just how important you are to me."

Mzuri just said, "And how is that?" She was still looking depressed over the loss of Mufalfa. "That lion was about the closest to a father I ever had."
