[Tru]

Simba stood on the edge of Priderock and saw the sun begin to set. He carefully climbed down from his throne and made his way to a familiar field. His muscle had leaned, his luxurious mane had lessened and had become frayed, his sight was all but gone, his cheeks sunk in, and his jaw hung loose on it's hinge. He was no longer the strong,resilient King he had once been. He knew his time would soon be done.

He laid down in the grass where his father and himself held a council with the Great Kings for the first time and where he held council with his father many times since. He stared to the setting sun and remembered his father's words, the voice echoing in his memory.

"One day Simba, the sun will set on my time here, and will rise with you as the new king."

Simba thought back on all of his life, how he changed and how he became king. He fell in love, had cubs, and lived a great life. He thought back to home now. His mate had gone only a season now, but his children were home and his Grandson was soon to be mated with the lioness he loves. Thing's were right in his kingdom.

As the last rays of light had gone from the sky, Simba heard his father's voice again, though this time, it was not a memory

"Simba...It is time to come home son."

With that, Simba closed his eyes and joined the Great Kings. His sun had finally set.
