The parents said, "Please tell us what is making you remain in this dreadful place." Mufalfa returned back to Marini. "Dakari is gone. His parents have arrived."

Dakari looked at his mother, "It's not dreaful... There's water and animals to hunt..." he then got an idea, "Hey, why don't you stay here with me?" Marini was kind of surprised at that, "Wait... He just left?"

Mufalfa nodded. "Yeah his parents found him. He is long gone by now." The mother said, "Son you know there is a whole new pride waiting for us to return out there."

Marini was kind of sad, "Oh... Kind of hard for me to think that he just left." Dakari didn't know what to do. How could he make such a choice? "An entire pride? You mean like an actual pride?" It was the life he always wanted, but he couldn't just leave. "Mom, I want to... But I can't..."

Mufalfa nodded. "Yeah...if you'll excuse me..." Mufalfa just put his head down. He didn't know he would miss Dakari that much. His mother smiled, "Yes an entie pride Dakari. Once we pass on you will be the leader." She then paused and said, 'Son what keeps you in this place?"

Marini looked at Mufalfa with a confused expression, "Are you okay?" Dakari sighed, "You wouldn't understand..." he was afraid of the way they would react once they found out that the lioness who was keeping him from leaving was blind, and 'useless' as some would call her.

The mother said, "What don't we understand Dakari...you are here, we wanted you to...go home so we can be a family again." Mufalfa sighed and said, "I didn't know I would miss Dakari this much. But he deserves his real parents. I was never a good father figure anyway."
