Dvd version question

Hi all, not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question & if not I do apologize. I was wondering if anyone can tell me - is there a difference between the US & Canadian versions of the Platinum Edition set? I ask because my personal set met with an unfortunate accident and I needed to replace it. I purchased what I thought was the same version (US) as the one I previously owned but when it arrived it was the Canadian version. I didn't want to open it until I was sure it was the same. Can anyone help me? Thanks so much in advance!
