Nala's Eyes in TLK

That is something very interesting? I always thought it was just a movie goof. But you are right. Animals eyes change color under different lighting. Look at Simba's His eyes changed from Yellow to white at times when he was an adult. So, very cleaver on their parts.

I don't know exactly how the creator of the nala.ru site tweaked the images, but I adjusted the red/green/blue values of the evening/night scenes until Nala's pelt color matched the color it is in the very last scene at the end of TLK. There are probably other elements that factor into the evening picture's look, like the saturation and brightness/contrast settings, but I didn't try fiddling with them.

I never noticed her eyes changing color. Well now we know its just the lighting...

To me, Nalas eyes have always been green, but for some weird reason they’re blue in SP. Her eyes are clearly green in TLK, when she’s a cub and as a young adult (as proven by screenshots posted earlier in the thread.) During the scenes in the jungle, her eyes look more aquamarine, more greenish blue, but I’ve always thought it’s because of the lighting in those scenes, all the colours are more dull and made to blend in more with the scenery.

I think she looks beautiful with both green and blue eyes, but I prefer her green eyes, it was the original eye colour for her, and I don’t mind that it makes her look more like Sarafina.

I think Nala`s eyes was green at cubhood (I never saw cub Nala with blue eyes in movie). When she was a young adult, her eyes was green with grey shade. It`s interesting that when Nala met Simba in jungle, her eyes had blue shade. But in the scene where Rafiki told to Nala that Simba decided to return, her eyes became green again.

In SP her eyes are always blue but I don`t think it was a mistake. The color of eyes can change. For example, my eyes can change their color from green to brown.
