The adolescent growled, "I'm not your friend. You're only nice to me because you have to. And believe it or not I can defend for myself."

The adolescent kept talking. "Okay you don't have to be my friend! Defending yourself is exactly what I need don't you see! I'll give you anything you want!"

The adolescent snorted, "What can you give me? You've got nothing. He wants you dead and your friends are already dead."

The adolescent snorted, "And why should I trust you? Let's say that we do kill him, how can I know that you wont stab me in the back?" besides he idnd't know whether dis-obeying Mufalfa would be a good idea.

The adolescent answered back, "If you have any sense of me going back on my offer you can kill me immediately and I'll do nothing. I'll stay out of sight until we get Mufalfa near a place we can both ambush him. After that it is just glory from there my friend."

The adolescent shook his head, "I don't know... We'll just kill him and then force what we want upon his mate, his sister and whoever else is in his pride?" he shook his head once more and tightened his grip on the lion, "I'm not going to do it."
