Mufalfa just kept laughing. "Oh that look on his face!" Mzuri tried to cheer up her friend. 'You're a real lion to me Dakari."

Marini snorted and looked away. Dakari let out another frustrated sigh, "I hate him."

Mzuri said, "Hate is a strong word." Mufalfa sighed. "Hey I was trying to teach him to stand up for himself and his lioness."

Marini looked at him with an angry expression, "He's just a cub! What were you thinking?" Dakari sighed another sigh of frustration, "So?"

Mzuri sighed. "So he is about as close as we are going to get to a father around here." Mufalfa said, "I tried to beat up my father when I was his age."

Dakari looked down at his paws, suddenly missing his parents, "He's nothing like my dad, and he never will be." Marini said, "He's as big as your paw."

Mufalfa said, "And when another lion fights him will he care?" Mzuri just sighed and walked away.

Marini suddenly started crying, "Is that how you're going to treat our cubs?" Dakari felt mad at how she just forgave him as if nothing happened.

Mufalfa said, "No. But Dakari is not my cub!" Mzuri just kept walking away. She didn't care if Dakari was mad at Mufalfa, she was just mad at how he brushed off her trying to help him.
