Dakari then somehow repeated himself, "That cliff was kind of dangerous. I wouldn't just run around and climb cliffes, as tempting as that is..." he couldn't help but wonder why was it so cold, and what sort of creatures lived in such a place. "Do you think there are lions around here?" he asked hopefully, even if he knew that the answer would most likely be negative.

Mbali looked back at the cliff nearby. "Dangerous indeed..." she said, growing a bit more talkative than she'd been before. Then she heard his next question, which rather intrigued her. "I don't know... I suppose there could be, but judging by how we've fared here so far I'm not sure how one would survive here for long. If any others were here, I think they would be dead by now." she said, trying not to think about she and Dakari dying.

Dakari couldn't help but share the lioness' opinion. Judging everything he had seen or felt in this place so far, he knew that the chances of running across any sort of creature they were familliar with was low. "Well..." he smiled, trying to remain positive, "At least those creatures didn't dump us on our own out here." during his time as a rogue he had always hoped to come across another lion, who would not try to kill him for a change. However he couldn't help but wish that it would have happened in a place that made more sense.

"True. And at least... it was with you, not someone else who would take advantage of me." she said, nuzzling Dakari a bit before turning around suddenly, having heard something behind her. In the distance, she saw a figure, but was unable to make it out before a strong flash blizzard occured, causing visibility to drop so far that she could barely see past her own nose. She put a paw on Dakari's front paw to maintain physical contact, catching a quick glimpse of the strange creature that had just appeared. The creature seemed to be trying to lead the two somewhere.

The blizzard started before Dakari's mind could even process anything of what had just happened. He soon stopped thinking about that when he saw the figure in the distance, but like Mbali he too could barely see it and not to mention figure out what it was, even if he squinted his eyes. Soon the blizzard started having it's efect and Dakari began shivering. It was also making it hard to hear anything besides the strong wind.

To the lion it also seemed like the figure was trying to lead them both somewhere, but the blizzard made it too difficult to see clearly or understand whether the creature was saying anything. He soon realised that they were going to freeze to death if they didn't find shelter, but that didn't mean that they should trust any creature they saw. "Maybe I'll see who that is!" he yelled, hoping she could hear his voice through the blizzard. He slowly began walking towards the figure, "Wait here!" he didn't want her to risk her, and so decided to go by himself.

Mbali could barely make out what Dakari was yelling to her, and realized that he was about to leave her there alone, even if for only a bit. "Stop, we can't separate!" she yelled, but it was too late and he was already too far away to hear her. Her adrenaline pumping now that she was alone in the blizzard, she tucked herself into the snow on the ground and curled up, doing her best to stay warm without Dakari there to help.

The creature in question was a snow cheetah. Well-accustomed to the weather, he could see much better than Dakari could, and was less affected by the cold as well. He saw Dakari coming toward him, leaving Mbali behind for the time being, and wanted to make sure everyone stayed together. When he got closer, he said that. "We can't separate, or someone's going to get lost!" he yelled over the howling wind, hoping Dakari would hear.

Dakari could barely figure out what the creature was trying to say, and he couldn't figure out what kind of being he was. However after hearing the creature try to contact him he could tell that he wasn't a threat, for now at least. He looked around at Mbali, and rushed back to her side once he saw her curled up and shivering. Out of pure instinct, and possibly also because of the feelings he was starting to grow for the lioness at hand, he lay down next to her and tried to warm her up.

Mbali was greatly relieved as Dakari returned. While she was a bit angry at him for leaving her alone, she was more happy to have him back again and, sharing the small feelings he was developing toward her, nuzzled him gently as he laid down next to her. The snow cheetah, however, had other plans. "We have to keep moving! This snowstorm is going to last several hours, we'll freeze to death if we don't get back to my den!" he said, staying close so the two lions wouldn't lose sight of him. "Follow me!" he said, turning and letting one or both of the lions bite gently onto his tail in order to maintain a group.

Dakari once more could not hear what the cheetah was saying, but for some reason he managed to comprehend with the 'follow' part. He looked at Mbali and said as loudly as he could, "Come on!" he slowly got to his feet and looked at the cheetah. He couldn't understand that the feline-like creature was telling them to grab his tale, for that was something no one has ever told him to do. He waited for Mbali to get up before slowly following the cheetah, making sure that she was right beside him.

Mbali got the message and gently took Snowy's tail in her jaws, motioning to Dakari that he should either keep contact with her or do the same with the snow cheetah's tail. Snowy's webbed paws didn't sink into the snow nearly as much as Dakari and Mbali's did, due to their lack of anything between their digits. Mbali was intrigued by this but didn't pay much attention to it at that point, being more concerned about finding a warm place. Her legs were beginning to go numb again, and her paws had already.

Awhile later, when Mbali's legs finally were numb, Snowy suddenly fell into the snow and a hole appeared. Inside was a warm den dug into the frozen ground.
