I think that was the point.

Now in SP, his voice is completly wrong. Why? Because SP tried to make Simba the "overprotective father who's trying to break up Mary Sue and Marty Stu" type of character, like King Triton from The Little Mermaid.

Yeah, I know it was the point, but it would've been just a tad better if his voice was manlier. For example, the Arabic version of Lion King had Simba's voice dominating and masculine, and it gave him more appeal during the fight.

I agree, his SP voice was bad. He never put any emotion into lines that needed power. Ugh... I see why you don't consider SP canon :P But you dislike Scar over Zira?

I see what you mean. Portuguese Simba was a bit more masculine. He still sounded young, but his voice was a bit deeper.

Matthew Broderick in SP was like "I don't want to be a part of this movie, but since I was Simba in the first one... whatever, just give me my paycheck, I'm so bored... Hey, look! It's Sidney from 'Scream'!"

Are you asking if I like Zira better than Scar? NO WAY!

That's Scar and Zira as a couple.

All of the movies villains, main or not, had the perfect voices picked for them. Others that could be improved:

Simba
Erm, uh... that's all I can think of XD

It's always fun watching clips from The Producers. Simba and Timon on Broadway! Springtime for Hitler (we saw a bit of it in Be Prepared). They even had a deleted scene when they brought Ernie Sabella in. Then it was the TLK trio united again! And it's funny how Nathan Lanes's character acts much like Timon to Broderick's character (let me show you how we get things done around here...). I have a blast whenever Broderick is on screen. Even more when other TLK actors are included.

I wish they`d used the same singer for SP.. The singer in TLK has a better, stronger voice, I think.

But about Matthew Broderick, I think he was a great choice for Adult Simba. He adds warmth to the character, though he could have given more strength in SP.
