I ask nothing less. Opinion is one of the great things about democracy, though it does get on the nerves a bit. In the end it is the decision of the admin and the other staff members, but I state my opinion in recognition of my views and the effect the may have upon my environment.

I think we need someone to keep a good eye on the FAA section, there's so much theft D: I know Moka and the rest of the mod gang do a great job, but still ^^ *cough*

Even so, I think y'all make a good choice :)

Perhaps, I am inclined to think that there is always some risk to these things. Elections are more of a popularity contest than a serious matter. There are always those who take it seriuosly, but more often than not the majority of votes and nominations are for friends. Sorry for this but I don't really have much faith in the election system. I'm American, but all I ever see is apathy and complaints about elected candidates. Will it work this time? I don't know, but I know that I can't really say that I believe we are doing any better than Moka could just picking with his staff.

Agreed with this statement; that said, it is no secret that some members have been dissatisfied with some of the past few appointments, for a variety of reasons. The only way to curb such unrest in this case is to have the system become more of a democracy -- that way, should the appointed staff member generally fail at his or her job, the staff cannot be the only ones held accountable, since the appointment was in theory 'the greatest good for the greatest amount of people.'

There's no use in avoiding trying this option. At least now there will be far less unrest when it comes to staff appointments, which seems to have been a recurring theme over the past year-ish in some circles. And if this system doesn't work out, there's always the old one.

It is rather dissatisfying that it must come to this. Is there no one out there with any common sense anymore? You, Letters, are one of the best mods I ever knew.

TRP, when I made the statement about length of service, I did not mean that the length matters; I was trying to point out, rather, that whoever we pick, we'll be stuck with for a long time, so those voting should take extra care to make sure they choose someone who won't screw up, for lack of a better term.

No, no friend, others made comment about service length, not you, I am fine with your ideas, I was responding to the ideas of others.

Oh ok then. To whomever made those comments... well I already said it. xD

Someone else felt differently, and I disagreed with the idea of age being important.
