My fondest memory is actually the day I bought the soundtrack. I got absolutely captivated.

Lol. With that money your parents could've easily bought it for you. I think it was the same with me and Peter Pan. Although as I grew up I became to violently dislike that film for what a disgrace it is to the original story. It doesn't even get any essential details right! =D I don't wonder at all why it is, if it's true - is one of the worst succeeded Disney classics of all time. And I really don't wonder why TLK is the best succeeded. Isn't this even the best selling VHS in history of film, or something?

Oh my. Distant, transparent memories.

Back at one of my old apartments. Me and my brother's playroom...wasn't decorated yet, all it had was a toybox, TV stand, and TV, a Vhs player, and of course, VHS-es.

My mom tells me even today, TLK was my favorite movie when I was 4. :P

I remember me and my brother would always fake-laugh like hyenas, (but if I tickled him in a certain spot, he really DID! XD) and Would get all scared when they sang Be Prepared...... And Dance to I just can't wait to be King....and I would get REALLY scared when The wildebeast stampeede comes, I would hid behind my brother and shut my eyes tight until he tells me it's over. But because I was so young I never did fully experience sadness when Mufasa died. Sometimes I wish that just for a day I would know nothing of TLK and see it for the first time, just so I could get the whole feel of it....xD I'm crazy.

Watching the hype LEADING UP to the movie was something. What a media blitz lol.

Even as a kid I knew that.

Hmmm well mine would be:

1) This first one was a couple of years after I fell in love with TLK (the original) and before we had the internet and what not, back when sequels were only heard of through advertising and word of mouth. My sister came back home from school and said she had got TLK2, and took it out her bag. I do not think I have ever been so happy as that lol.

2) When I was younger (this is before TLK2) and I was in hospital having an operation, my older sister came to visit me in hospital and gave me a cubbeh Simba... Teddy thing. I always loved it :3; if you look at my picture in the "Post your TLK collection it is the one with the "battle damage"

3) And of course seeing the film for the first time, even when I was that young I recognised something amazing about the soundtrack and to this day the music is still by far my favourite thing about the series.

My fondest memories are:  :hopeful2:
1- When I bought a vhs player in 2007 and I could see Simba's Pride (January 4) after like 8 years without seen it. I realized it had become my favorite movie and I saw it 4 times that night.
2- When my mother bought me a stuffed Nala on Christmas Eve. She wanted to take it away to give it to me the next day and I held on to it so strong that she left it with me.
3- When my parents gave me the TLK 1/2 on Valentine's Day and I saw another stuffed Nala along with it. She still sleeps with me along with other 16 stuffed animals. I couldn't live without her.
4- When my mom gave me the Kiara and Kovu plushies.
5- When TLK gave me the inspiration for the perfect story. :)
