Mufasa laughed. "Because no one messes with your dad" he said. "Come here you" He grabbed his son and gave him a noogie.

Simba played with his father in the field until finally, he found himself resting on Mufasa's head. "Dad, we're pals, right?" he asked.

Mufasa stared up at his son. "Right"

"And we'll always be together, right?" Simba continued.

Mufasa looked at his son. "Simba, let me tell you something my father told me" he began, "Look at the stars", "The Great Kings of the Past look down at us from those stars, so whenever you feel alone, just remember, those Kings will be there to guide you" Mufasa paused and looked up at the sky "And so will I"

Simba and his father looked at the stars for the longest time. Meanwhile, in the Elephant Graveyard, Banzai was complaining about the scratches Mufasa had inflicted upon his backside. "Man, that lousy Mufasa, I won't be able to sit for a week!" he stated. Ed laughed. Banzai frowned at his brother. "It's not funny, Ed," he continued. Ed tried to stop, but laughed even harder. Banzai frowned. "Hey, shut up!" he snarled. Banzai then leapt at Ed and the brothers began to bite at each other. Shenzi heard her cousins fighting and turned. "Will you knock it of?!" she shouted. Banzai and Ed ended their fight, leaving Ed chewing on his leg. "Well, he started it!" Banzai replied. Shenzi came down from the rock ledge and joined her cousins. "Look, at you guys. No wonder we're dangling at the bottom of the food chain," she said. "Man, I hate dangling," Banzai answered. "Yeah? If it weren't for those lions, we'd be running the joint," Shenzi stated. "Man, I hate lions," Banzai said. What ensued was a string of jokes about lions, which in turn led to uncontrollable laughter. So caught up in their laughing were Shenzi, Banzai and Ed that they failed to notice Scar and Zira on the ledge above.

"Aw, Surely we lions aren't all that bad..." Scar sneered from the ledge, above the mangy hyenas. His emerald eyes glowered down at them, but he remained calm and collected, he felt that made him look all the more intimidating. He couldn't blame the mutts for bashing lions, after all, his brother was the one that prevented them from eating. The scrawny males ear flicked as he gave a quick glance at Zira to see how well she would take to the hyena's disscusion.

The hyenas suddenly looked up upon hearing Scar's voice. They looked and saw the two lions. "Oh, Scar and Zira, it's just you," Banzai said. "We were afraid it was somebody important," Shenzi added. "Yeah, you know, like Mufasa," Banzai stated. Shenzi looked at Scar and then at Zira, wondering what the lions would do next.

When the hyenas were convinced that nothing would happen to them, they began joking again, this time launching into a string of jokes in which they repeatedly said Mufasa's name. As they laughed, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed had no idea just how much they were annoying Scar and Zira at the moment.

Scar was so irritated at the moment. The laughter of the hyenas made his head hurt. "I'm surrounded by idiots," he stated. He then turned to Zira. "Zira, you find this as irritating as I do, don't you?," he asked her.
