We didn't really get to see much of Mufasa in a situation like that. Simba never went off by himself that Muffy knew about in the films.

well i have to say that simba haves every right to be overprotected about her. if i were a father i would be the same.

I am my father's only daughter and he is so protective of me.

But yes, he was overprotective. Of course, he needed her to take over later, but still. He should remember his childhood. He was one of the most adventurous cubbies ever!

haha yes he was! That's probably why he didn't want Kiara to do the same sorts of shenanigans Simba and Nala could have been eaten by the hyenas! Oh well, this situation is sticky in any form of parent-child discussion, it's hard to say who's right without shades of grey...
