Dream killing? So I can't say Twilight is a mediocre movie because I'll kill Twihard's dreams?
We all have opinions. Don't like it, that's too bad. And when we're talking about fictional characters and events, you'll get different opinions 100% of the time.
I don't consider SP as canon because it was not directed by the original crew and it was produced by Walt Disney Television Studios (you know, same people who made the Timon and Pumbaa tv show). I think it's a cheap, mediocre movie, very overrated among the fandom. This is my opinion. So what? I have to keep my mouth shut just because most TLK fans won't agree with me? Am I killing Joe's, Mary's or Jenny's dreams? No, I'm just stating my opinion.

Kopa is indeed a very controversial subject. I've seen some Kiara fans bashing him like crazy!
"Kiara is sooo much better than Kopa! Kopa is just stupid! If you love Kopa, you're a Kiara hater and if you hate Kiara, you're a TLK hater!"
I don't even like Kiara but that's just crazy...
