I`ll say Sarabi. It`s kinda obvious to say Simba, because the movie shows us very graphically the sorrow of Simba. We only see Sarabi`s sorrow for a few seconds. But she lost two of the persons that meant the most to her, Simba "only" lost one.

I think Sarabi suffered the most she probably suffered depression because she lost her king and son and she has been slapped by scar and theres haps more reasons why she suffered the most

Simba. In time everyone else's wounds would heal pretty well, but Simba had to live with all that for the rest of his life, added the knowledge that his had for so many years trusted his father's murderer and carried the guilr for no reason. Also, by the time Kiara was an adult, Simba would realistically be quite old, nearing ten years old and apparently still he was a nerve wreck about his child's safety, crying after nightmares of Mufasa's death and oozing hatred towards the exiled. Though of course during those years it must've hurt Mufasa, Sarabi (wherever she was) and Nala to see Simba go on struggling and suffering but it would still have been worse for Simba himself.

Even if we don't regard SP's events, I believe something similar would be the case. Simba wouldn't get over all those deep traumas, betrayal and hurt too easily, whereas others had more about their issues fixed by Simba being alive and the kingdom recovering.

After thinking about it, I have to agree with most people here and say Sarabi. She obviously loved Mufasa and Simba very much, and near the end of the movie, there are added lines around her mouth and eyes that make her look like she's permanently frowning. Perhaps from so much sadness and grief? Her mate and cub died in the same day, but she could not properly grieve because of Scar's antics--she had to protect her pride in the best way she could, through her own strength. She kept up the hunting and endured the hatred from the hyenas, was subject to Scar's horrible abuse and nasty words against Mufasa, and THEN, after learning that her son was alive, was told that it was Simba's fault that Mufasa died! And then Simba agreed to it!

Then, to find out that Scar had killed Mufasa, knowing that she'd lived under his reign the whole time, serving the very lion who had killed her mate and, as she'd thought, her son? Oh my lord this lioness has endured a lot. And yet, she's still kind and regal, and supports her son as he becomes king.

Physically it would have been Scar, I mean he got eaten.
But on a more serious note, in terms of emotion I would say... Sarabi, for pretty much the reasons that zorayda gave in the post above. I think that just because you do not see her as much in the films as say Simba, it is more easy to forget but when you think about it, she would probably be the most likely option. Plus if it was not enough that Muffy and Simba were dead, the fact that she was also led to believe they died on the same day would suck sooo bad *sad face*

Well i think simba he suffered the most he lost his fathe, he got exiled, he almost died and he was betrayed by scar because scar kept pretending mr nice guy! But sarabi suffered the most aswell but my vote goes simba.

I'd say Simba. He lost his father, grew up thinking he was a murderer with two strangers, exiled and unable to see his mother, Nala and his home again, had to carry the guilt alone, change his way of life, had to tell everyone about his "crime", his home was completly destroyed, found out his dear uncle was a murderer and a liar, almost got killed 6 times (elephant graveyard, stampede, hyenas, crossing the desert, "I killed Mufasa" scene and the ending fight), Timon and Pumbaa made fun of the Great Kings of the Past, got hit with a stick...

I agree with Atouchofgrace. Sarabi must've had it tough, I agree, but Simba was only a cub. He would've suffered a lot of grief and pain in losing his father, and everyone else, really.
