Yeah but Scar didn't know about that. I think his final pounce was done more out of blind rage than a planned-out move, otherwise he wouldn't have been so easy for Simba to defeat lol.

I git the feeling he would've tried to rip his throat (which would've been unlikely to succeed because the mane is there for one to protedt the lions from getting such wounds too easily) but in any case, I got the feeling he would've tried to tear him a fatal wound and possibly then throw him off the cliff.

What was Scar trying to do the whole time in TLK? Get rid of Simba, as in killing him.
The picture you posted was Scar going in for the kill, delivering his ultimate blow to end Simba’s life.

I think I'll go with this. His claws were extended, so he could have landed on Simba, pinning his head to the ground with his paws and went at his neck.

Obviously he would whisper into Simba's ear that he was sorry and only wanted to rule the land for a spell to win a bet he made with Jafar over who could destroy the land more. I don't wanna give anything away, but he lost.
