I think if they show what more of what happen during Scar's reign is would just add more drama to TLK, although it wouldn't be bad either to know, maybe a little of this story

It makes sense that they didn’t show much of Scars reign though, because TLK is Simba’s story, so they wanted to keep the focus on him as much as possible.

I would definitely like it if they showed the conditions under Scar reign. That is to underdeveloped.
