*high five* I just wish I could get up the guts to tell/ask her. :(
My friend wanted to ask a girl out once, he said "Tom shall I ask her? I am kind of nervous about it" and I was like errr yeah sure if you like her. He comes into the next class, and says "Oi Nikki get naked!" and because it made her laugh, they got chatting and have been going out since (granted it was not that long ago) but my point is that you should ask her out! If she is already your friend anyway, the worst she will say is that she dont like you in that way :/ you wont know until you try.
As for me; been in a relationship for little over three years now, met in high school and still together now. It has not been perfect, we had ups and downs as well as the annoyance of it: I mean okay I live in a pretty big city, I like to go to clubs with my friends sometimes and stuff as 19 year olds do but like they are free to flirt with girls there and I... well do so at my own risk but 9 times out of 10 choose not to. Also it effected my grades at high school too >.> I dont regret it but I see why people choose not to bother about relationships in high school at least.
Actually how we met is kind of funny to us at least so I will share this story with you guys: it was in the final year of high school, we had a new teacher to start the final year and this was the first day. So our teacher wanted to find out more about us and said "Okay stand on the left side the room if you watched EastEnders last night, and on the right if you did not" now EastEnders is a soap here in UK, you know one of those "I am not your mother, oh noes my son has been kidnapped" kind of things. Naturally EVERY boy went to the right side, but not me because I liked it back then. So I was standing there, the only boy on the yes side and started talking to her about it :D that is how we met.
