Does anyone know more about the original Nala?

I`ve never heard anything about this, but then again I never take much intrest in the voice actors in Disney movies.
In my opinion, Moira Kelly`s voice is perfect for Nala. <3

Maybe it was just a simple reason, like they though Moira would be a better choice for the character after all? I mean the original actor would still have been paid at least,right? Or it could have been something more sinister, like the original actor being related to something that Disney did not want the film to be associated with if people were to find out???
