Well some people like him, so let's stop dissing him. You're acting like him getting a lot of attention from those who like him hurts you. It doesn't, we have every right to talk about him as much as we want just as you have every right to your negative opinions of him. None of us are trying to make your favorite characters look bad, so let's live and let live, eh?

That was a tad contradtictive, but, whatever. I only speak up when something happens that I don't agree with.

This doesn't make much sense to me. You should stop saying bad things about Kopa...but you have a right to say it. :eyebrow:

Some people like him, yes, but no one is dissing Kopa fans. That would be rude.
However, I'm free to dislike Kopa or any other character or movie and say it.
Hate is a strong word. I just think he's overrrated. He won't look bad just because I don't love him. He's a fictional character, we should have different opinions about him.

Hmmm. well I support Kopa as canon because:

At the end of TLK 1, when Rafiki is holding up Simba and Nala's cub, it is daylight, and when Kiara is being presented it's morning/evening. Or night. But I know it wasn't day.

When Kiara asks what happened with the outsiders, Simba looks sad and says, "Nevermind."

Simba looks a lot older than when Kiara was being held up than when Kiara was.

But it doesn't really matter because at the finishing of TLK 1, the directors said they gave the Cub the name of "Fluffy" and said they would decide later. It could be either one, so... but I think Kopa would make more sense. I think, however, Kiara should've have been a stronger female character. She was an annoying bimbo princess that falls head over heels with the first lion she meets... she could've been made so regal... even without a mane :P
When Kiara asks what happened with the outsiders, Simba looks sad and says, "Nevermind."
And the outlanders supporting or being heir to his father's murderer who had also been his own uncle, could not posisbly be the reason for the sadness and avoiding the subject? How would you feel if your uncle who you thought had been your friend, had done all that Scar did to Simba? How would you explain to approximately 8-year old little girl about betrayal and murder within her own family? Especially as it gets even more complicated with the outlanders part in it: Simba punished them for a crime they didn't commit. Just like Kovu pointed out later. Kiara at such young age could not possibly understand any of that complicated and dark stuff, it would just scare her and she certainly didn't need to be burened with it. The psychology of TLK2 is much more complex and complicated than Kopa fans make it be. Sometimes I think you Kopa fans must really hate Simba, as you want to force a murdered or otherwise lost child into his story. As if he hadn't been through enough family drama and psychological torture for most of his life.
Simba looks a lot older than when Kiara was being held up than when Kiara was.
I think you meant when Fluffy was held up than when Kiara was. But again, how does he look a lot older? I have never ever noticed anything like that? And even if, how in the world it isn't screamingly obvious it's thanks to the animators being all different from the original designers.

Also, the concept of canon is literal content, content that is there seeable, herable, readable. And Kopa is not there in any such shape or form. Resulting in Kopa is fanon seeing to the films, as in only in some of your heads and imagiantion.
Kiara should've have been a stronger female character. She was an annoying bimbo princess that falls head over heels with the first lion she meets... she could've been made so regal... even without a mane :P
Well, the story is basing on Romeo and Juliet and they fall head over heals in love at the first sight. (Only the lust part was ditched from this Disney version.) I haven't read the book but Juliet isn't that much different from Kiara in certain terms in any of the movie adaptations I've seen. So, I think Kiara is quite well what she should be as long as she's basing on Juliet. While I think Kiara is more interesting and more complex than Juliet. Again, I have never read the book.

To you. Some people have different beliefs. I myself believe he was canon, but he didn't die to me, all I feel like is he ran away or something like that...
