Sonic/Star Wars Crossover

Sonic/Star Wars Crossover

Postby KingKovu44 » January 11th, 2011, 8:22 pm

Ok, besides TLK, I am also a major fan of Star Wars and Sonic the Hedgehog. Because of that, as well as a bit of inspiration from that thread on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I posted, I have created this story, a cross of KOTOR and the old Sonic the Hedgehog Saturday morning cartoon from 1993, which is my favorite version of Sonic. "Squirrmunk" is a word I made up to describe Sonic's girlfriend, who has a squirrel father and a chipmunk mother. I will be be updating at my leisure. No bashing or flaming of any sort, please.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 1

It was victory for the freedom fighters. Robotnik was dead, Snively was on the run, the SWATbots had been shut down, King Acorn had been rescued from the Void, and Bunnie and Uncle Chuck were now fully and permanently derobticized. Ever since his rescue several months ago, King Acorn had taken up residence in Knothole, leading the restoration effort. At the moment, he was giving orders to Sonic, Sally and the others.

"I want you all to head into Robotropolis and scavenge as much gear as possible. Perhaps we can turn it to our own uses," King Acorn instructed.

"Yes, Daddy," Sally said.

The group turned to leave and exited the hut. As they did so, Sonic looked at Sally.

"Sal, what does your dad want with Ro-butt-nik's old gear?" the blue hedgehog asked.

"I don't know, Sonic, but whatever it is, we just have to trust him," Sally replied.

Just as Sonic was about to reply, they heard a familiar voice.

"Got room for one more on this mission?"

They all turned to see Knuckles the Echidna standing there. An excited Bunnie spoke.

"Oh Knuxy-Wuxy, you decided to come along!" she exclaimed.

Knuckles shuddered a bit. He knew that Bunnie had a crush on him, and it embarrassed him a lot for her to use her pet name for him in front of the others.

"Knuxy-Wuxy?" Sonic said with a snicker.

"Drop it, Sonic," Knuckles demanded.

"But it's just so funny!" Sonic countered.

Wary of possible conflict, Sally stepped in.

"Knuckles, there's always room for you on our team. Let's go," she stated.

They headed off towards Robotropolis. As they walked, Tails began talking.

"Aunt Sally, do you think we'll find anything useful?" the kit asked.

"Oh, I'm sure of it, Tails. Just stay close to us," Sally replied.

"Yes mam!" Tails said proudly.

Soon, they were inside Robotropolis. Entering what remained of Robotnik's fortress after the Doomsday incident, they began their search. It didn't take them long, for they were soon in a room full of devices.

"YEE-HAW! WE DID IT!" Bunnie exclaimed.

"Now we just need find stuff worth taking back," Knuckles reminded.

As they were looking around, Sonic came across a large machine.

"What does this one do?" he asked to no one in particular.

"I don't know. We shouldn't mess with it," Sally warned.

Ignoring his girlfriend completely, Sonic searched for an "ON" button. Finding it, he punched it, and then began randomly pushing other buttons.

"SONIC, DON'T!!!" Sally shouted.

"Sal, what's the worst that could..." Sonic began.

The hedgehog's sentence was never finished. A massive white flash of light enveloped the freedom fighters, and for awhile, there was nothing but white. Finally, the white went away, and the freedom fighters felt the sensation of hitting concrete. They lay there stunned for a second. Sally was the first one to wake up. As she looked around, she realized that they were no longer on Mobius. Instead, they were in some strange, futuristic-looking city. It was full of all kinds of strange beings.

"What is this place?" she asked herself.

Sally then proceeded to pull Nicole, who, even after the fall, was still functional, from her boot.

"Nicole, can you tell me what this place is?" the squirrmunk asked.

The small computer searched her databanks, but found nothing.

"No match found, Sally," Nicole replied.

Sally sighed. By now the others were up, and were looking around.

"Whoa, mondo big change of scenery!" Sonic said.

"Tell me about it," Knuckles replied.

"So Sally-girl, what's the plan?" Bunnie asked.

"We try to find someone willing to help us," Sally replied.

"This is a very strange place. Lots of technology," Rotor commented.

"We not are in zis position if ze hoghedge not mess wit ze machine!" Antoine shouted.

"Once again, Ant, its hedgehog!" Sonic retorted.

Once more, Sally stepped in and kept something from happening. She then proceeded to lead the group through a metal doorway. It became apparent that they were in an apartment building. Little did any of them know that, in mere seconds, an encounter with two figures would lead them to their destiny. Just then, a deep, masculine voice was heard.

"Hmm, what do we have here?" the voice asked.

The freedom fighters turned to see a handsome male creature that was the same species as Robotnik and Snively. Unlike Robotnik, he was thin and well-built, and unlike Snively, he was tall. On his head, he had long brown hair, and his face bore a full beard the same color. His eyes were a blue-green color. He wore a scout's uniform and carried a long sword in a sheath. Following him was another male of the same species with short brown hair, a goatee, an orange jacket and green flight pants. He wielded some sort of rifle. The first human turned to the other.

"Carth, can you tell me what these creatures are?" he asked.

The man known as Carth took a good look at the freedom fighters.

"No, never seen anything like them," he replied.

It was then that Sally spoke.

"I am Princess Sally Alicia Acorn, and these are my friends," she said.

Carth and the other man were shocked to hear the creatures speak. Finally, the first man spoke.

"I am Rodaan Starkiller, scout for the Galactic Republic, and this is my teammate Carth Onasi," he replied.

"At least they finally spoke," Sonic said.

Sally looked back at Rodaan and Carth, eager to learn more about them.

"So, what are you doing here?" Sally asked.

"Our ship was attacked by a Sith battle fleet and we were forced to come here," Rodaan replied.

"Sith?" Sally replied.

Rodaan took a look around. He chose not to say it here.

"Miss Acorn, I apologize, but this entire planet is under control of the Sith. This is not the best place to talk about it," Rodaan stated.

"Planet? What planet is this?" Sally said in alarm.

"You're on the planet of Taris," Carth answered.

"Taris? Never heard of it," Bunnie commented.

"It's a city world on the outer rim. Once, it was glorious, but that was long, long ago," Rodaan said.

Sally took a moment to run all of this information through her head. City world? Outer rim? Sith? There were many questions.

"If you don't mind me asking, where are you all from?" Rodaan said curiously.

"A planet called Mobius," Sally answered.

"What system is it in?" Carth continued.

"I'm not sure. We got here in a strange way," Sally informed him.

Rodaan and Carth listened as Sally told the story. Though they had some trouble believing the story, they decided to take her word for it. Sonic and the others took the time to introduce themselves.

"Anyway, what's your plan?" Sonic asked.

"Well, we need to go out and find a female Republic officer named Bastila. Her escape pod crashed in this world's undercity. Our war against the Sith won't succeed without her," Carth explained.

The freedom fighters looked at each other and debated whether to get involved. They decided to go with Rodaan and Carth.

"We'd like to help you," Sally said.

"Why would you and your friends want to get involved? It would be very risky," Rodaan stated.

"Each of us has particular skills that might be useful. I have strength, Sonic has extreme speed, Bunnie has martial arts skills, Rotor is excellent with mechanics, Sally has her handheld computer, Tails is a good pilot and Antoine, well, let's just say that he's an excellent distraction," Knuckles replied.

Rodaan and Carth took a moment to think it over.

"Well?" Carth asked.

"The more people we have, the better-prepared we'll be," Rodaan answered.

It was then that the two men decided to allow the freedom fighters to come along.

"TOTALLY WAY PAST COOL!" Sonic exclaimed.

"Hush! Not so loud! The Sith have troops all over the place!" Rodaan reprimanded.

Sonic shrugged it off, and the group decided to move on. Just as they were coming to the door, they saw a soldier and two robotic warriors harassing two strange-looking creatures with green skin and red eyes.

"All right, you alien scum, get against the wall, this is a raid!" the soldier shouted.

"Why do you keep harassing us? There was a patrol here yesterday and they found nothing!" the green creature replied in a strange language.

The soldier simply fired at the one who had spoken, killing him. He then turned to see Rodaan and his crew.

"What's this? Humans hiding out with aliens?!" he shouted.

"Sorry, but I won't let you kill the other one," Rodaan stated.

"They're Republic fugitives! Attack!" he shouted at his robotic minions.

Rodaan drew his sword from its sheathe and attacked, Carth and the freedom fighters following his lead. Within moments, the Sith soldier and the robots were dead. The creature thanked Rodaan and ran off.

"So that was a Sith?" Sally asked.

"Yes, but others are much worse than he was," Carth answered.

The group continued on their way outside, back to the outside cityscape. They decided to make their way to the cantina to ask if any of the locals knew anything of Bastila's whereabouts. The group walked over to the cantina entrance and followed Rodaan and Carth inside. The freedom fighters looked around. Knuckles took a glance at Tails.

"Well, this is a new low for us," Knuckles commented.

"What do you mean, Knuckles?" Sally asked.

"We just brought a ten-year old into a bar," the echidna answered.

"It's not like he's going to drink, Knuxy," Bunnie replied.

"Come on, all of you," Carth commanded.

The freedom fighters obeyed. After some talking, they came to a female junior Sith officer named Sarna, who ultimately invited the group to a party. After agreeing, Rodaan and crew waited for awhile and left for the party.

"Ok," Rodaan said. "This is a Sith gathering. Say nothing of the Republic or of our mission."

Sally sighed.

"I know Sonic will do a great job of that," she said sarcastically.

"Sal, why are you saying that?" the hedgehog asked.

"Because we all know that you can't keep a secret. That's why you'll be outside watching Tails," the squirrmunk replied.

Sonic sighed as they entered the apartment building. Rodaan and the others went into the party. They were there for a good long time. Finally, they left, and when they exited, Rodaan was clad in a suit of Sith armor.

"Woah, cool armor!" Tails said.

"Ok, Carth, this should help us get where we need to go," Rodaan said through the suit's helmet.

The team headed off, toward the entrance to the lower city. Soon, they came to the elevator door, and an armed Sith trooper.

"Another patrol heading down to the lower city? For what purpose?" the Sith trooper at the elevator asked.

Rodaan looked at Sonic and his friends. The trooper would never believe that they were aligned with the Sith. However, Rodaan Starkiller was not a man who was easily defeated. He thought of a plan.

"The commander ordered me to take these prisoners down to the undercity, and it needs to be done as soon as possible," Rodaan replied.

"Very well. Go ahead. Just watch out. Those swoop gangs will take a shot at anyone, even us," the trooper stated as he opened the elevator door.

Rodaan loaded everyone into the elevator. Inside, Sally was a bit offended at having been referred to as a prisoner, but kept it to herself.

"So, what now?" Tails asked.

"Now we have to find someone willing to help us get into the undercity," Carth answered.

Finally, the elevator came to its destination. The door opened, and the team emerged. Everyone was shocked at the disarray and filth of the lower city, none more so than Antoine.

"Zis is terrible!" he exclaimed.

"Antoine, shut it!" Knuckles bellowed.

Antoine followed the others. He was nervous as they continued to walk.

"I be thinking, we be better off in ze upper city," the coyote stated.

"Yeah, but where's the fun in staying out of danger?" Bunnie asked.

Hearing this, Knuckles smiled. Maybe there was more to her than her annoying nickname.

"Wow, you think just like I do," the echidna said.

Bunnie gave a flirty smile to her crush.

"We're fated to be...I mean, we'll discuss this later, when everything is done," Bunnie replied.

The walk continued. Carth turned to Rodaan.

"Where do we ask?" he asked.

"We're near the cantina. Probably we should try to find someone there," Rodaan replied.

At that moment, they paused, and Rodaan entered an alcove and removed the armor, placing the components in Carth's pack.

"All right, on to the cantina," Rodaan said

Just then, a passerby came to them.

"I overheard your need to get into the undercity, and want to tell you that the best way to do it is to speak to Gadon Thek, leader of the Hidden Bek gang," he said.

"Thank you, we'll go now," Rodaan answered.

The group changed course and headed for the Hidden Bek base. On the way, Sally began voicing her concerns to Sonic.

"Sonic, I'm nervous about dealing with a gang," she said.

"And you're telling me this because?" Sonic answered.

"Hmm, good question. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that you're the one next to me at the moment!" she said angrily.

"Woah, Sal, chill out," Sonic said.

"It's very difficult with you around," Sally replied.

"Oh Sal, you're so beautiful when you're angry," Sonic stated with a smile.

“Sonic, I’m warning you…” Sally began.

“Warning me of what?” Sonic asked.

“Hush, both of you! We’re here!” Rodaan warned.

Sonic and Sally stopped bickering long enough to see a guard standing at a door. After negotiating with her, Rodaan and his crew were allowed inside. They looked around, and were pointed in the direction of a desk, behind which stood a male of Rodaan and Carth’s species with dark skin. However, it was the female standing next to him that caught the attention of Sonic and his friends. She was an exotic creature, with two long appendages coming from her head. When the team got close, she was the one who spoke.

“Hold it right there! What are you doing here and what business do you have with Gadon?!” she demanded.

“Calm down!” the man replied.

“You’re too trusting, Gadon. Brejik and his Vulkars want you dead, and it’s my job to make sure you’re safe,”

“Do you want us to start attacking strangers on sight, like the Vulkars do? I will never let it come to that. Now let them pass!” Gadon stated.

The woman turned to Rodaan and the others.

"You can speak to Gadon if you want, but if you try anything foolish, you'll be blasted!" she threatened.

Rodaan acknowledged her, then turned to Gadon.

"You'll have to forgive her. Ever since the Vulkars started this war against us, she's become a bit overzealous in her security duties," Gadon informed them.

"They might be spies, Gadon! They might be working for the Sith!" the Twi'lek bodyguard protested.

"Look, if the Sith thought we knew anything useful, they'd have a battalion of troops knocking down our door. No, I think these offworlders have an agenda of their own," Gadon said.

"You're right. I'm not with the Vulkars or the Sith. My name is Rodaan Starkiller, and my team and I are seeking information on the escape pods that crashed in the undercity," Rodaan said.

"The escape pods? I suppose I could tell you what I know. It might cause problems for the Vulkars, and that's ok in my book," Gadon replied.

"If you have information, please give it to me," Rodaan answered.

"The Vulkars stripped those pods clean within hours. A female officer of the Republic named Bastila was among the plunder. Usually, the Vulkars would take a captured person and sell them for a nice profit to the crime boss Davik Kang, or to an offworld slaver. However, a Republic officer is no ordinary catch," Gadon explained.

"So, what can we do?" Sally asked.

"Your only way is do something for me," Gadon stated.

"What is it?" Rodaan replied.

"You see, my engineers developed a prototype accelerator that can make a swoop bike go faster than any other, and we were planning to use it in the upcoming race, but the Vulkars stole it from us and plan to use it. As for Bastila, she's the prize for winning this race," Gadon explained.

"So, how do we fit in?" Knuckles asked.

"First, you need to get into the undercity, then go through the sewers, then get into the base from the back way. Unfortunately, the Sith are guarding the elevator to the undercity, so you'll need to trick them," Gadon informed them.

"I've got Sith armor to disguise myself," Rodaan said.

"A simple disguise might have worked on the upper city guard, but the security down here is much tougher. Luckily, my men ambushed a lone trooper returning from the undercity and took his security papers. Since we're working together, I suggest we trade. You won't need the armor with these papers," Gadon answered.

Rodaan agreed, and the trade was made.

"I'll be back when I have the accelerator," Rodaan stated.

"Before you go, you'll need a guide in the sewers and undercity. I know just the person: Mission Vao," Gadon replied.

Gadon's bodyguard was shocked and spoke up.

"Mission?! Gadon, you can't be serious! She's just a kid! How is she supposed to help them?!"

"Mission' explored every section of the undercity. She and her Wookiee friend Zaalbar are even known to explore the sewers, despite the dangers," Gadon reminded.

Rodaan gave an acknowledgement, and headed off with the team to find the accelerator. After some walking, they came to the undercity elevator. The door was watched by a Sith guard, but that wasn't the worst part. There were several Black Vulkars hanging around.

"Anyone have a plan to get by?" Carth asked.

Sonic was the one who answered.

"I'll bring them over so we can defeat them!" the blue hedgehog exclaimed.

Sonic then rushed off at full speed, running over to the Vulkar gang members.

"Hey, has anyone told you that you're slow and you're ugly? Well, let me be the first. You're slow and you're ugly," he taunted.

Enraged, the Vulkars began firing at him. Sonic rushed off again, the gangsters firing at him.

"Oh, is that all you've got?" he jeered.

Soon, the Vulkars came to where Rodaan and the others were waiting. Soon, they lay dead on the ground, defeated in a flurry of combat from both Rodaan and Carth, as well as the freedom fighters, with the exception of Tails and Antoine. Tails kept out of sight behind a wrecked speeder, not flinching once. On the other hand, Antoine was found whimpering and cowering behind the same speeder. Ignoring the coyote's protests, they headed over to the Sith trooper. Showing him the security papers, Rodaan, Carth and the freedom fighters were allowed into the elevator. When they emerged, Sally's heart sank, for they had emerged into a dark world of extreme poverty and suffering. The inhabitants were of Rodaan and Carth's species, but unlike them, suffered greatly. Some had been grotesquely mutilated by disease. Some had missing fingers and toes, while others were missing whole limbs. They were pale and dirty.

"Rodaan, did you mean it when you said that the residents of this planet dump their criminals down here?" Sally asked.

"Sadly, Miss Acorn, yes," Rodaan replied.

"How could members of your race be so cruel?" the squirrmunk continued.

"Some are very corrupt," Rodaan replied.

"Speaking of your race, what is yours called?" Sally continued.

"We're called humans," Rodaan replied.

"Back on Mobius, we have a race identical to yours. We call them Overlanders," Sally explained.

"And your race?" Rodaan asked.

"My friends and I are members of a race called Mobians," Sally answered.

Rodaan listened intently as the young princess explained what had happened with Dr. Robotnik and his takeover. However, the conversation was interrupted as the team came to a gate. By the gate were a young female and an older male. The female was screaming in panic.

"HURRY HENDAR! RUN!"

She then turned to the male, who was obviously the gatekeeper.

"Please, open the gate! Hendar will die if you don't!" she pleaded.

"I can't! The rakghouls are too close!" he exclaimed.

Hearing this distress, Rodaan went over to the gatekeeper.

"Open the gate. My team and I will deal with the rakghouls," Rodaan said.

The gatekeeper seemed shocked.

"You would risk your lives for a stranger? You're brave, upworlders. I'll open the gate for a few seconds, but that's it," the gatekeeper replied.

Rodaan and company rushed in as the gate opened.

"What are rakghouls?" Sally asked.

"Those," Rodaan replied as he stretched out his hand and pointed.

Sally looked ahead to see a monstrous creature charging at them. It was hideous, with slimy white flesh, long, razor-sharp teeth and deadly claws.

"Someone, get Tails out of the way!" she commanded.

In the instant that Rodaan and Carth began to do battle with the creature in order to save Hendar, Knuckles grabbed Tails and pulled him away. Antoine, upon getting a good look at the beast, began running around and screaming hysterically and had to be restrained by Bunnie.

"Hush, do want to attract more of them?" she asked.

In his fear, Antoine said nothing. Back at the fight, Sonic won them victory by using his buzz-saw move to cut the creature in half. Hendar thanked the group and ran off to the village of outcasts.

"Well, let's see if we can find Mission Vao. Hopefully, she's around at the moment," Carth said.

In that very second, a young, blue-skinned Twi'lek girl came running up to them, sounding panicked.

"PLEASE HELP ME! I CAN'T JUST LEAVE HIM THERE!" she shouted.

"You’re Mission Vao, right? Who are you talking about?" Rodaan asked.

"Yes, and it’s my Wookiee friend, Zaalbar. He was kidnapped by Gammorrean slavers while we were exploring. Please, help!" Mission replied.

"All right, If I help you, will you help get into the Vulkar base?" Rodaan asked.

"Deal!" Mission said.

Everyone followed Rodaan to the sewers. The team entered the sewers. Even though they were behind a metal door, the smell was overpowering.

“Who in their right mind would have a base down here?” Sally asked.

“Criminals,” Sonic replied.

Sally looked at him.

“Gee, Sonic, I’m so fortunate to have such an intelligent boyfriend,” Sally said sarcastically.

“Thank you, thank you,” Sonic replied.

“Sonic, need I remind you that my question was a rhetorical one, and that my statement was sarcastic?” she asked.

“No, Sal. You’ve made your point,” Sonic said.

“Good,” Sally answered as they moved forward.

Rodaan opened the door. Immediately, they found themselves in a large chamber with a large flow of sewer water coming from the ceiling. A steady stream of mist permeated the room, causing Bunnie’s ears to fall over her eyes.

“Great, this mist is frizzing up my ears!” the rabbit exclaimed in frustration.

Knuckles looked at her.

“Your ears look as beautiful as ever. Now, let’s go,” he told her.

Bunnie’s heart fluttered with excitement as she heard the echidna’s words. From his tone, she could tell that he wasn’t just trying to hurry her up. He seriously meant it. As the team made it to another door, Rodaan looked at Mission.

“Miss Vao, do you know where the Gammorrean camp is?” he asked.

“This way,” Mission replied.

Everyone followed the blue Twi’lek to yet another door. Before she opened it, Rodaan turned to the others.

“All right, this is more than likely going to be a dangerous fight. Someone should get Tails and Antoine away,” Rodaan told them.

“I’ll watch them,” Rotor replied.

“Head back towards the entrance. There shouldn’t be any rakghouls there,” Rodaan instructed.

Rotor led Antoine and Tails back towards the entrance. When they were out of sight, Rodaan opened the door. In an instant, the green-skinned Gammorreans rushed at them with their weapons drawn. The battle was brutal, but swift. At the end, the pig-like aliens lay dead. Rodaan looked around.

"Do you have any idea where they hid Zaalbar?" he asked Mission.

Mission took a moment, then looked directly at the back rear door. She ran over and unlocked it. To the freedom fighter's surprise, an eight-foot tall hairy alien walked over to them. It spoke, but not in words. Rather, it spoke in growls and roars. Mission introduced the Wookiee to Rodaan and his allies.

“Pleased to meet you, Zaalbar. My name is Rodaan Starkiller,” Rodaan told the Wookiee.

Zaalbar seemed shocked.

“You know the language of my species? I’m impressed. There’s only one thing I can do: As of now, I swear a life-debt to you,” the wookiee growled.

“A life-debt? Zaalbar, are you sure about that?” Mission asked.

“Yes, Mission. Due to our strength, we Wookiees are being used as slave labor on our own homeworld. With this life-debt, I at least have purpose,” Zaalbar replied.

“I’m honored to accept, Zaalbar. Now, let’s retrieve our friends and head for the Vulkar base,” Rodaan stated.

“Hold on, we need to be careful. At the entrance to the Vulkar base is a huge Rancor monster,” Mission warned.

“Rancor? Are you serious?” Rodaan asked.

“Yeah, there’s a huge monster that makes its home there. I don’t know how we’re going to get past it,” Mission replied.

“That’s not really an option. Let’s go,” Rodaan said.

“Ok then. By the way, wherever Zaalbar goes, I go, so I guess you’re stuck with me too,” Mission stated.

Rodaan smiled.

“We need all the help we can get, so welcome aboard,” the scout answered.

Just as they were getting ready to head back to the entrance, Rotor, Tails and Antoine showed up. Upon seeing the dead Gammorreans, Antoine prepared to utter another of his annoying exclamations, but Knuckles clamped his hand over the coyote’s muzzle.

“You can shout in terror when we’re not in enemy territory,” the echidna reminded.

Ignoring the scene, Rodaan turned towards another door, the entrance to the weapons room.

“Hang on, I want to check out the weapons room, see what’s there,” he said.

After opening the door, the freedom fighters got their first look at a room full of exotic weapons, ones they had never seen before. It was in this moment that Sally decided that she would be better off taking up weapons. She looked at Rodaan.

“Uh, sir?” she began.

“Yes, Miss Acorn?” Rodaan replied.

“I think my team, at least a couple of us, should take up weapons,” she said.

“Very well. We’re about to go into a dangerous place anyway, so it would help. Which of you will be using them?” Rodaan asked.

“Just me and Rotor. Sonic has his speed, Tails is too young, Knuckles has his strength, Bunnie has her martial arts, and we can’t trust Antoine with any weapon due to his clumsiness,” the princess said.

“Don’t worry about Tails and Antoine. I’ll protect them myself. Right now, we choose our weapons, and we head off,” Rodaan stated.

Sally looked among the weapons until she found one to her liking: a blaster pistol, complete with holster. Meanwhile, Rotor took up a powerful Mandalorian blaster rifle, claiming he wanted the most firepower for the first time with such a weapon. Meanwhile, Rodaan opened a trunk and took several grenades, carefully placing them in his pack. At the same time, Sally put on the holster belt, adjusting it so it fit just perfectly around her narrow waist.

“All right, are we ready?” Rodaan asked.

Everyone said yes. They then headed off, following Mission towards a laser-shielded entrance. As they walked, Sonic couldn’t take his eyes off of Sally.

“Wow, you look mondo hot with that gun,” he said.

Sally gave a slightly flirtatious smile.

“I can see the headline now: ‘Hot chick with gun kicks Vulkar butt’,” the hedgehog continued.

“I don’t know about that, Sonic,” she answered.

“Well, I do mean it,” Sonic replied.

When they arrived, Mission brought down the laser shield, and after fighting through more rakghouls and Gammorreans, they came to the end of a sloped walkway, ending at an open door. Rodaan peered through the door and saw the huge rancor at the back of the room. He searched his mind for a second, and then saw a severed arm on the floor. Bending to pick it up, he discovered that it contained a datapad, and a vial of fluid. It was then that Rodaan formed his plan. It turned out that the fluid in the vial was the scent of the rancor’s favorite prey. Spying a pile of dead bodies, he went over and placed the vial, along with a grenade. After opening the vial, he ran off. Just as he planned, the beast came over to eat, and when the grenade was swallowed, it exploded, killing the beast. It fell to the ground with a loud thud.

“Come on, the Vulkar base is this way,” Mission said as she led them.

Rodaan looked at Tails.

“Tails, this is a dangerous place. Stay close to me. These Vulkars have no sympathy, and will think nothing of murdering anyone, even a child,” he warned.

“I’m ready,” Tails answered.

The team moved in. After fighting off the entrance guards, they went inside. They made their way through the base, fighting gang members and droids, and acquiring a special key card that allowed them to shut off turrets that guarded the entrance to the base’s lower level. After more fighting, and computer hacking, they found themselves in the presence of Kandon Ark, the second-in-command of the Vulkar gang. He offered Rodaan a job, that of assassinating Gadon, but it was refused. Kandon and his bodyguards attacked, but were defeated.

“Ok, everyone, look around for something that might be an accelerator,” Carth advised.

The search began. Finally, Tails came across a device in the back of the room.

“Is this it?” he asked.

Rodaan went over and took a good look. In his mind, he knew it was the one.

“Good work, Tails,” Rodaan said proudly.

He proceeded to pick up the device, and then led his team back to the lower city. They made their way back to the Bek base, where Gadon was there to meet them.

“We have the accelerator,” Carth announced.

“Excellent. Now it’s time for my part of the plan. The swoop race is tomorrow, and now we’re in no danger. In fact, I’m going to go one step better: You’re going to be riding for us,” Gadon said.

“Are you serious?” Rodaan asked.

“Yes,” Gadon replied.

Rodaan sighed.

“Very well, I will win that race," he said.

The team was allowed to stay at the Bek base that night. The next morning, after breakfast, the team was taken to the swoop track. Sonic was excited by the thought of so much speed.

"WAY PAST COOL!" Sonic exclaimed.

"Relax, Sonic, we don't know if Rodaan's going to win," Sally reminded.

As he waited for his turn, Rodaan looked into a cage that was set up. Inside was a beautiful human female. Obviously, this was Bastila. In his heart, Rodaan resolved to win. Soon, his name was called. He headed out to the track.

"DO IT TO IT!" Sonic shouted excitedly.

"We're rooting for you!" Tails added.

Rodaan went out and boarded his swoop bike. When the start light turned green, his engine roared to life and he was off. To his surprise, he won. It was done. Bastila was free. He was greeted by the cheers of the crowd. His win was made official, and Brejik, leader of the Black Vulkars, came forward to give the prize.

"People, hear me! Your so-called 'champion' cheated!" he announced.

"You're a liar, Brejik!" Rodaan retorted.

"Your swoop bike was using a prototype accelerator! Clearly an unfair advantage! I withdraw the prize!" Brejik continued.

"YOU CAN'T DO THAT! IT VIOLATES THE GREATEST AND OLDEST TRADITIONS OF TARIS!" the race announcer protested.

"You old fool! Your traditions mean nothing to me! I'll destroy you here and now!" Brejik roared.

It was then that Bastila came to and looked out of her cage.

"I might have something to say about that, Brejik," she said.

Bastila then proceeded to break out of her cage, kill a guard and take his sword. Brejik was shocked.

"What?! Impossible! You were restrained by a neural disruptor! How could you have possibly summoned the will to free yourself?!" he exclaimed.

"You underestimate the power of a Jedi's will," Bastila replied.

Brejik was furious.

"Vulkars! To me! Kill the winner, kill the woman, kill everyone!" he ordered.

Rodaan and Bastila fought the gang leader, eventually killing him. Bastila looked at Rodaan

"Maybe those bloody Vulkars will think twice before trying to hold a Jedi captive. As for you, if you think you can win me...wait, you're one of the men from the Endar Spire. How did you get here?" she said.

"It's a long story. Carth Onasi is waiting for us," Rodaan replied.

"Carth is alive? That's good to hear Can you take me to him?" she asked.

"Yes, right away," Rodaan said.

Bastila retrieved her personal effects. Everyone then headed to the upper city hideout. Tails took his first good look at Bastila. She wore brown robes, and had a unusual metal cylinder attached to her belt. After a long conversation, the decision was made to rest for the night, and worry about getting off Taris in the morning. That evening, as everyone else was falling asleep, Sally was up, staring out the window at nighttime Taris, with its bright lights and hustle and bustle. Sonic saw this.

"What are you doing up?" the blue hedgehog asked.

"Nothing. I'm just shocked by how beautiful the Tarisian night is," Sally replied.

"You wanna go check it out?" Sonic asked.

"Are you serious?" she answered.

"Is grass green? Is water wet?" Sonic said.

That was all the convincing Sally needed. Ever so quietly, they left and headed out into the upper city. There were a few Sith troops about, so Sonic and Sally stuck to the shadows. Soon, they came to an isolated corner with a decent view.

"Sonic, for all your annoying ways, you have a knack for picking decent spots," the squirrmunk said.

Sonic gave a cocky smile.

"The hedgehog knows," he stated.

Neither of them spoke. All that happened was that they embraced, and, moments later, kissed. Neither of them wanted it to end.

"I love you," Sally said.

"I love you too, Sal. Now, let's head back before everyone notices we're gone," Sonic replied.

They made their way back to the apartment. They then fell asleep once they got there. The next morning, everyone arose, got dressed and set out. As they were walking, a green-skinned Twi'lek male ran up to them.

"Excuse me, are you the one who won the lower city swoop race yesterday?" he asked Rodaan.

"Yes, that's me," Rodaan replied.

"Good. I have a message for from Canderous Ordo. He wants you to meet him in the lower city cantina," the messenger said.

"Ok, we'll go and meet him," Rodaan replied.

"Wise choice. It's best not to keep him waiting. Mandalorians are known for many things, but patience is not one of them," the messenger warned.

The Twi'lek ran off. The team headed back to the elevator. After getting past the guard by showing him the Sith papers, they headed for the lower city cantina. When Canderous saw them, he waved them over to his table.

"So you're the one who won the swoop race. You've got what I need for this mission," the Mandalorian said.

"What mission?" Rodaan asked.

"As you know, my name is Canderous Ordo. I work for Davik Kang and the Exchange. The hours aren't great, but Davik promised me a fortune to work for him and I have nothing better to do. However, lately, Davik hasn't been paying me what he promised. I don't like getting cheated, so I came up with a plan to escape Taris," Canderous replied.

"And why should we trust a mercenary like you? I bet you're just using us to get away from this world, then you'll abandon us," Sally said.

Rodaan glared at her for a second.

"Please excuse her. She's new to this place," he said.

"Anyway, you've got what it takes for my mission," Canderous replied.

"What mission?" Carth asked.

"Ok, here's the plan: I need you to break into the Sith place and steal the launch codes that'll allow us to escape from the Sith fleet's laser turrets. They're with the Sith governor. Once you have them, return here and I'll tell you the rest of my plan," Canderous said.

"How do we get in?" Bastila asked.

"It won't be easy. The Sith base entrance is protected by an encrypted security system. It would take a state-of-the-art astromech droid to get past it. Luckily, Davik was having a special droid built for this purpose. Just tell the owner that Canderous sent you, and she'll sell it to you," Canderous answered.

"Ok, Canderous, we'll be back with those codes," Rodaan said.

"Good. I'll be waiting," Canderous replied.

The team left the cantina. As they returned to the elevator, Carth approached Rodaan.

"Do we have a good amount of credits? Droids like he was describing can be quite expensive," he said.

Rodaan checked the money bag.

"With all the credits we've taken from our fallen enemies, we have about nine hundred," Rodaan replied.

"Then we should go to a shop and sell off our extra gear. We don't really have need for it at the moment," Carth suggested.

"Good idea. Let's go," Rodaan ordered.

The team continued back to the elevator. They returned to the upper city and sought out a shop. Finding one, they sold off extra gear, including items taken from Brejik's corpse. In all, they came out with three thousand credits.

"To the droid store," Rodaan said.

When they arrived at the droid shop, Rotor was overjoyed as he looked around. Meanwhile, Rodaan went to the owner, a female Twi'lek.

"How may I help you?" she asked.

"Canderous said you would sell me a certain astromech droid," Rodaan replied.

"Oh yes, T3-M4. It'll be two thousand credits," the owner answered.

Rodaan went to the money bag and retrieved the desired number of credits. He then passed them to the owner.

"Here you go," he said.

The owner eagerly accepted them. The droid now belonged to Rodaan and his team. As Rodaan approached, T3-M4 beeped, asking for orders.

"Follow us to the Sith base," Rodaan replied.

The team left the store, T3 in tow. As they were walking, Sonic approached Rodaan.

"Whoa, we're going to break into the Sith base?" he asked.

"Yes. It'll be difficult, but it's something we need to do," Rodaan replied.

Soon, they were at the door of the Sith base. T3 rolled forward and opened the door. After bribing the receptionist, they were able to move deeper into the base, but not before being confronted by a squad of Sith troopers. The members of the team that had weapons drew them. Tails watched with excitement when he saw Bastila take the cylinder from her belt and activate it. A three-foot long yellow energy blade sprang to life, making a slight humming sound.

"Awesome!" the little kit whispered to himself.

After a couple of threats, the troopers attacked. Rodaan and the others made short work of them. They did this through the main area of the base, the fighting ending with a battle against a large security droid. However, that too was useless. The triumphant team made their way down the elevator and found themselves in the presence of the Sith governor. He glared at them.

"Who dares to break my meditation?! You will pay dearly for...Wait, I sense that the Force is strong in you, very strong. Who would've thought that a Force adept would be found on this worthless world?" the governor began.

"Turn away from the dark side. It won't lead to anything but destruction," Rodaan said.

"Spoken like a true drone of the Jedi council. We Sith, however, have learned to embrace the dark side. It is what gives us strength. This meeting is a stroke of luck for me. My master will surely reward me with my lightsaber once I kill you!" the governor roared.

A fight began, and a difficult one it was. However, the Sith governor was soundly defeated, and the team was able to retrive the launch codes, and two thousand extra credits.

"Let's get back to the lower city and tell Canderous," Rodaan said.

They left the base and returned to Canderous. He was very happy and told them his plan: to get them into David’s estate by claiming that Rodaan was a new recruit looking to work for the Exchange. While Rodaan was getting a background check, they would steal Davik’s ship, the legendary Ebon Hawk. Everyone agreed and left with the Mandalorian. Meanwhile, in space, aboard the Sith fleet's flagship, the Leviathan, another event was taking place, one that would seal the fate of Taris. Looking out the window at the sphere that was Taris was a tall figure with pale skin and red armor. This was Darth Malak, Dark lord of the Sith. He had been a Jedi once, but had rejected them. Now, he was defeating the Republic left and right in his war of conquest. As he looked out the window, another man approached. This was Saul Karath, admiral of the Sith fleet. He knelt to Malak.

"You summoned me?" he asked.

Malak turned, revealing the metal brace he wore around his neck and lower jaw. This was to hide disfigurement, specifically, the removal of his entire lower jaw in a lightsaber duel. He looked at Admiral Karath.

"The search for Bastila is taking too long. We can't risk her escaping Taris. Destroy the entire planet," Malak demanded.

"The entire planet? But there are billions of people on Taris. We'd be slaughtering countless innocent civilians, not to mention our own men still on the surface," Saul replied.

"Your predecessor made the mistake of questioning my orders, Admiral. Surely, you are not so foolish as to make the same mistake?" Malak answered.

"Of course. I will do as you command, but it will take several hours to position our fleet," Saul told him.

"Then I suggest you begin immediately. You are dismissed, Admiral Karath," Malak said.

Saul left to do as he was told. Back on Taris, Rodaan and the team were introduced to Davik and his other minion, a short bounty hunter named Calo Nord, said to be the fiercest bounty hunter in the galaxy. After a short conversation, and a tour of the estate, the team was taken to a room to await the result of Rodaan's background check. When Davik and Calo were gone, the team made their move. They fought their way through the estate, acquiring the codes to disable the hangar's security. They made their way to the hangar, where they were confronted by Davik and Calo.

"I knew the Sith would turn on us sooner or... Wait, we've got thieves in the hangar! So, you thought that you would use this moment to steal my ship and leave me high and dry while the Sith turn the planet into dust? Sorry, but that ain't going to happen!" Davik said.

"I'll take care of them, Davik," Calo replied.

"Make it quick, Calo. If we wait too long, the Sith will kill us all!" Davik stated.

However, Rodaan ended it quickly by throwing a plasma grenade, which exploded and killed Davik in a fiery blast. A piece of masonry knocked loose by the Sith bombardment took care of Calo, and it was time to leave.

"GET ON THE SHIP! LET'S GO!" Rodaan ordered.

Everyone got aboard the Ebon Hawk, and Carth piloted the ship. After Rodaan defeated five Sith fighter ships, they headed for Dantooine.

Chapter 2

The Ebon Hawk guided gracefully through space. As they got closer to their destination, Sally approached Rodaan.

"What is Dantooine like?" she asked.

"It's a fairly boring place, Miss Acorn. Nothing really except endless grasslands, and the estates of the nobility," Rodaan replied.

"Still, it sounds better than Taris," Sally replied.

"True," Rodaan replied.

"It's also the home of a Jedi academy," Bastila added.

"Jedi academy?" Knuckles asked.

"It's one of several academies across the galaxy where the Jedi order trains students," Bastila replied.

The conversation continued until Carth announced that they were approaching Dantooine. The freedom fighters looked out the cockpit window and the blue, green and brown globe in front of them. Rodaan looked at them.

“We’re here,” he said.

“I’m putting us down now,” Carth stated.

The Ebon Hawk drifted into the atmosphere and landed at the Jedi academy.

“Dantooine. It seems like an eternity since I’ve set foot on its surface, although it’s only been a few months. Now, I must go and speak with the Jedi council. Once I’m done, I will return,” Bastila said.

She left the Ebon Hawk and headed into the Jedi academy. Meanwhile, those still aboard the Ebon Hawk settled down and awaited her return. At this time, Bunnie went over to where Knuckles was resting.

“Hey there,” she said in a flirty tone.

Knuckles turned.

“What do you want?” he asked.

“Isn’t it obvious? I want to be with you,” the rabbit replied.

“Bunnie, I just want to…” the echidna began.

“Tell me how pretty I am?” Bunnie said.

This was one of the few times in his life where Knuckles was completely speechless. He suddenly realized that he liked her just as she liked him. Now was the time to tell her.

“Bunnie, I feel the same for you as you feel for me,” he said.

Bunnie’s eyes went wide.

“Oh my stars, are you serious?” she answered.

“100 percent. You’re beautiful,” Knuckles answered.

Bunnie was about to shed tears of happiness. Before she could do so, however, Knuckles took her into his strong arms. They looked into each other’s eyes, and, without warning, took their first kiss. Sadly, it was broken by a familiar voice.

“EWW! GROSS!”

They turned to see Tails standing there.

“Sweetie, what are you doing here?” Bunnie asked.

“I’m sorry, Bunnie,” the kit replied.

Seeing that Tails seemed very sad about his intrusion, Bunnie hugged him.

“Knuckles and I forgive you. Now, he and I have something important to talk about. So, run along, and we’ll see you later,” she said.

Tails left, and Knuckles and Bunnie continued on speaking of their newfound love. Later, just before evening, Rodaan called everyone. Apparently, Bastila was back, and the Jedi council wanted to see everyone. Rodaan led them off the ship and into the Jedi academy.

“Wow, mondo awesome place,” Sonic said.

“Now, Sonic, remember to be on your best behavior. We don’t know what this Jedi council is like,” Sally told him.

“Sal, what’s with all the warnings?” the hedgehog asked.

“Do I have to say it again?” Sally replied.

Sonic sighed.

“No,” he said.

They continued on their way to the Jedi council chamber. When they arrived, several men, two humans, a red-skinned Twi’lek and a short, green-skinned, frog-like alien, met them. The Twi’lek spoke as he looked at Rodaan.

“Ah, so you are the one who rescued Bastila on Taris. It is appropriate that you are here. I am Zhar, a member of the Jedi council. With me are Master Vrook, Master Vandar, and the Chronicler of our academy, Master Dorak,” the Twi’lek master said.

“Really weird names,” Sonic whispered in Sally’s ear.

The squirrmunk elbowed her speedy boyfriend in the chest, causing him to give a small groan. Meanwhile, Rodaan spoke to the Jedi masters.

“What do you want from me?” the bearded scout asked.

“Bastila tells us that you are strong in the Force. We are considering you for Jedi training,” Zhar said.

“Nothing would give me greater honor than to learn the ways of the Jedi,” Rodaan answered.

“Hold on. We need indisputable proof of your Force connection before we even consider you for training,” Vrook stated.

The masters began a great debate, with each explaining to Rodaan how difficult his Jedi path would be. Eventually, Rodaan was sent back to the Ebon Hawk. The debate lasted very long, and eventually everyone fell asleep. While asleep, Rodaan and Bastila shared a vision of the Sith lords Revan and Malak in some sort of ancient ruins. They spoke of a device called the Star Forge, and approached some sort of map. When they awoke, they went to speak to the Jedi council, where it was agreed that Rodaan should train as a Jedi. Rodaan accepted the ruling, and his training began. Over a period of weeks, Rodaan became part of the Jedi order. He practiced meditation, use of the Force and lightsaber skills. When that was complete, he went to Master Zhar.

“Your training is almost complete, apprentice. As part of your training, you must complete three tests,” Zhar said.

“I am ready for these tests, Master Zhar,” Rodaan replied.

“Very well. First, I will quiz you on the Jedi code. You must show that you have an understanding of the basic precepts of the order,” Zhar stated.

“You may begin the test,” Rodaan said.

“There is no emotion…” Zhar began.

“There is peace,” Rodaan continued.

“There is no ignorance…”

“There is knowledge”

“There is no passion …”

“There is serenity,”

“There is no chaos…”

“There is harmony,”

“There is no death…”

“There is the Force,”

Zhar seemed proud.

“You have learned your studies well, apprentice. It will not be long before you are a full member of the order. Now, it is time for you to build your weapon, the very symbol of our order, the lightsaber. The blade is made of pure energy, produced by polished crystals in the hilt. You must now go speak with Master Dorak, and he will assist you in the creation of your lightsaber,” he instructed.

Rodaan did as instructed and went to the other master.

“Ah, you come at Master Zhar’s bidding. The time has come for you to construct your lightsaber. There are three paths, each symbolized by a different color,” Dorak explained.

“What are the colors and paths?” Rodaan asked.

Dorak explained each one: blue, the path of the Jedi Guardian, green, the path of the Jedi Consular, and yellow, the path of the Jedi Sentinel.

“Which color and path do you wish to pursue?” he continued.

“I wish to be a Jedi Guardian,” Rodaan said.

Dorak proceeded to ask the bearded scout a series of questions and judged his responses. From them, he knew what sort of Jedi Rodaan would be best as.

“From your answers, you would be most suitable as a Jedi Guardian. Which color and path do you believe yourself suited to, apprentice?” Dorak said.

“Blue, the path of the Jedi Guardian,” Rodaan replied.

From a pouch on his belt, Dorak pulled a gleaming blue gem, gave it to Rodaan, and instructed him to return to Master Zhar for further instruction. Rodaan did so. Meanwhile, Sonic and Sally peaked into the training room. Rodaan and Master Zhar were talking.

“What are they saying?” Sonic asked.

“I don’t know. A lot of technical talk about setting gems and so on,” Sally replied.

Just as Sonic was about to answer, Rodaan headed over to a workbench. He began to assemble a device. Sometime later, the device was complete, and a blue energy beam sprang to life.

“It’s like the weapon Bastila was using back on Taris, only a different color,” Sally commented.

They watched a bit longer. Zhar praised Rodaan’s work on his lightsaber, and then gave him a bundle. Rodaan stepped away for a bit. He returned wearing the same brown robes that Bastila wore. His new lightsaber was displayed prominently on his belt.

“Now, there is but one more challenge,” Zhar stated.

“Which is?” Rodaan asked.

The Jedi master explained to his student how the dark side had tainted a meditation grove, and that he must go out and purify it. Rodaan agreed and began to leave. As he was going, Sonic and Sally came to him.

“Rodaan, can we come with you?” Sally asked.

“It’ll be dangerous,” Rodaan stated.

“It’s ok. We’re used to danger,” Sonic said.

“Very well. Before we go, however, can you go grab Carth, and anyone else who wants to come along? I’ll need them,” Rodaan replied.

Sonic sped off, returning with Carth, Knuckles and Bunnie. The others had opted to rest. The group headed out to courtyard to begin their journey. From the courtyard, they headed into the field. Sonic, Sally, Knuckles and Bunnie took a look around at the surrounding grasslands.

"Oh Sonic, it's beautiful, just like Mobius used to be," Sally said.

"Yeah, but remember what Rodaan said about danger?" the hedgehog replied.

Sally turned to Rodaan.

"What kind of dangers can we expect here?" the princess asked.

"The primary one is a predatory creature known as a Kath Hound," Rodaan replied.

Sally asked for a further explanation, and Rodaan gave it. However, she didn't have much of a chance to let it sink in, as when they came to a hill, a small Kath Hound pack came running at them. Rodaan activated his lightsaber and Sally pulled her blaster. They managed to kill a few, but one got the upper hand and isolated Bunnie from the group.

"You're asking for it, varmint!" she shouted at it.

The beast rushed forward, knocking the female rabbit to the ground. Bunnie thought that her death was imminent. However, it never came. Just as the Kath Hound was about to bite into her, Knuckles grabbed the beast, took hold of its jaws, and began to pull them apart. The splintering of bone was heard as the jaws broke. Knuckles then pulled the hound's neck roughly to the side, breaking it and killing the creature. Bunnie was overjoyed.

"Oh Sugar, you saved my life!" she stated.

"No one messes with my girl," Knuckles replied.

When the Kath Hounds were all dead, they moved on towards the grove. When they arrived, Rodaan stepped forward, towards two pillars. There, he saw a cat-like female alien kneeling. Without warning, she stood up and placed Carth and the freedom fighters into stasis.

"I will be your doom!" she shouted.

She then proceeded to ignite a red-bladed lightsaber. Rodaan ignited his own blade, and a fight began. It was fierce, but Rodaan won. The cat-like alien backed up.

"You...you have bested me! How can this be?!" she said.

"First off, who are you?" Rodaan asked.

"I am Juhani, and you have invaded this grove, my place of solace," she replied.

"Why did you flee here?" Rodaan asked.

"I struck down my master in a moment of anger. Now, why do you bother me?" Juhani said.

"I was sent to cleanse this grove," Rodaan replied.

"Then do it. Isn't it apparent that I can never be saved?" Juhani answered.

"Wrong. My advice is to go before the Jedi council and ask for forgiveness," Rodaan said.

"Do you think they will accept me?" Juhani continued.

"Your inner peace will show them your sincerity," Rodaan answered.

"I thank you, master Jedi. I will go now," Juhani stated.

The Cathar ran off towards the Jedi academy, as did the team. When they got back, Rodaan was congratulated for his actions. He then went before the Jedi council.

"It is good to see that Juhani has returned to the way of the light. Now, your training is complete, and it is time to deal with the vision you and Bastila shared. From your description, we recognize the location as one of the ruins here on Dantooine," Vandar began.

"We've long been aware of these ruins, but we assumed that they were merely burial mounds. Now we know the truth. It is the council's decision that you and your team go and explore them," Dorak added.

"We will go now," Rodaan replied.

"Be sure to bring Bastila with you," Vandar stated.

Rodaan bowed in respect and left, along with Bastila and the others. They headed out. Along the way, Rodaan warned Tails to stay close by, and warned the others to be careful with Antoine, who was beginning to cower at the mention of the word "danger". Ever so slowly, they entered the ruins. Upon going through the entrance, they were told by a strange droid who spoke in an archaic form of the language of the Selkath, the fish-like inhabitants of the ocean world of Manaan that they must prove themselves worthy of getting the star map.

"That doesn't sound hard," Sonic remarked.

"We'll just see," Rodaan replied.

It was hard. Twice, they had to solve computer puzzles and fight droids. However, they were victorious, and were given access to the star map. Before the freedom fighter's very eyes, a large holographic map appeared.

"I don't get it. Is this what Revan and Malak were seeking?" Rodaan asked.

"No. It's some sort of map. But, it's incomplete. There is corrupted data and missing pieces," Bastila answered.

"Do these dots represent planets?" Sally asked.

"Yes. You see this one here? This is Korriban, a Sith world. And if that's Korriban, the next one is Kashyyyk, and there's Tatooine and Manaan," Bastila continued.

"Perhaps those worlds have more clues," Rodaan stated.

"True. We must return to the Jedi council and tell them of our find," Bastila replied.

They returned to the Jedi council and told them everything. Upon hearing this, Vandar, Vrook, Zhar and Dorak decided that Rodaan and his companions must travel to each world and find the star maps in order to find the device called the "Star Forge". Rodaan agreed.

"The fate of the galaxy is in your hands, padawan. May the Force be with you," Vandar said.

Rodaan and the others bowed and headed for the Ebon Hawk, ready for this big mission. As they walked towards the enclave door, Rodaan began to notice something about Tails: he had a connection to the Force, and that connection was not small. Rather, it was a very strong one. He decided that he would keep a watchful eye on the kit, and, if possible, take him as his padawan when this was all over. The crew walked up the ship’s loading ramp.

"Let’s do it to it!” Sonic shouted.

Sally cringed, hoping that he wouldn't be like this the whole trip. The crew boarded the Ebon Hawk. It took off, lifting into the sky and blasting into space. Meanwhile, the Leviathan, glided slowly across the stars towards its destination. At the very front of the vessel’s bridge, Darth Malak looked out into space. As he did so, Admiral Karath approached him.

“Lord Malak, the Star Forge is operating at 200% capacity, far beyond our expectations,” he began.

“I am far more interested in the young Jedi Bastila and her battle meditation. Have you learned how she escaped the destruction of Taris?” Malak replied.

“She was aided by Carth Onasi, a decorated war hero of the Republic and a legendary soldier. During the Mandalore wars, he was honored many times for his bravery,” Admiral Karath explained.

“You know this man?” Malak asked.

“Yes, Lord Malak, he served under me when I still followed the Republic. You could say I was his mentor,” Admiral Karath said.

“Interesting. How did you acquire this information, Admiral?” Malak replied.

“From an eyewitness,” Admiral Karath stated.

Just as the admiral finished his words, the door to the bridge opened, revealing Calo Nord, who had somehow survived the Sith bombardment and the fight with Rodaan and his allies. The short bounty hunter walked over to where the Sith lord and the admiral were standing.

“Calo Nord, a bounty hunter, was there when Bastila and Carth escaped the planet. Apparently, they left him for dead,” Admiral Karath told Malak.

“A Jedi and a war hero. It’s a wonder you survived the encounter,” Malak said.

“I am hard to kill,” Calo stated.

“Calo has agreed to help us capture the young Bastila, for a very hefty fee of course. But I assure you that he is well worth the price. His reputation as a bounty hunter is well-earned,” Admiral Karath explained.

“Her companions are nothing to me, Calo, but I desire the young Jedi taken alive if at all possible,” Malak instructed the bounty hunter.

“Lord Malak, forgive me, but there is something else. May we have a private audience away from the ears of the common soldiers?” Admiral Karath asked.

“I trust you are not wasting my time, Admiral Karath,” Malak stated.

“I promise that you will be very interested in what Calo has to tell you about Bastila’s other companions, Lord Malak,” Admiral Karath replied.

Re: Sonic/Star Wars Crossover

Postby KingKovu44 » January 12th, 2011, 3:20 am

Thank you... 8-)

I've loved Sonic for a long time. I much prefer the old Sonic (the Sega Genesis Sonic and the TV Sonic depicted here) to the newer Sonic games. As for Star Wars, I've been a fan forever. I have all of the movies, a bunch of comics and numerous novels.

Anyway, chapter 3 is in the works right now and will be up eventually.

Again, thanks for the comments. I appreciate them.

I remember Sonic Underground. It was the last of the 90's American Sonic TV series and was canceled after one season. The version of Sonic shown here, along with Sally, Bunnie, Rotor and Antoine, were from the 1993 Saturday morning series referred to as SatAM by fans.

Anyway, without giving too much away, chapter 3 focuses on the Wookiee homeworld.

Chapter 3

As the Ebon Hawk traveled further, Rodaan and his allies began a conversation regarding their destination.

“Well, where are we headed now?” Knuckles asked.

Rodaan thought for a moment.

“Kashyyyk,” he replied.

“What’s that place like?” Rotor asked.

“A forest world, with trees kilometers high. The trees are so tall that the forest floor never sees sunlight,” Bastila explained.

And so, the trip began. Eventually, they arrived. The Ebon Hawk came out of hyperspace and approached the globe of Kashyyyk.

“We have arrived,” Rodaan announced.

Everyone looked out at the great sphere before them.

“Wow, I’ve never seen anything like it,” Sally commented.

“And now, we’ll go and kick bad guy butt!” Knuckles added.

The Ebon Hawk descended into Kashyyyk’s atmosphere and landed on a landing pad in the upper levels of the great trees. It was then that Bastila began discussing the vision of the star map she and Rodaan had shared on the way here.

“The Force has given us a vision, like the one we shared on Dantooine. Did you see it? Of course—you must have. The Force is strong with us both. Kashyyyk is a lush but simple and undeveloped world. I would not have expected to find the alien technology of a star map,” she said.

“It looked like the star map was on the forest floor,” Rodaan replied.

“The Wookiees of Kashyyyk make their homes high among the wroshyr branches. Only their bravest warriors dare to descend into the forbidding depths of the forest. If the Star Map is on the forest floor, it will be tough getting to it,” Bastila answered.

“We’re ready to help. We’ve been in plenty of tough places before,” Sonic said.

“Ok. Just so you know, the lowest levels are dangerous,” Rodaan warned.

“We’re ready for anything,” Sally said.

Rodaan looked at his crew.

“Then I guess we’re ready. Let’s go,” he said.

And with that, they all left the Ebon Hawk. Upon exiting, they were all met by a strange alien known as an Ithorian.

“Greetings to you. Err…while I am pleased to welcome you to planet G5-623, I do not see your ship on my docking schedule. The Czerka Corporation will see to your needs, of course, but there will be a 100 credit docking fee in advance, I fear,” the Ithorian began.

“Why do I need to pay that?” Rodaan asked.

“This outpost is remote and expensive to maintain. The 100 credits given will ensure that it remains here for your use. Upon correction of the correct fees, I will extend what resources Czerka Corporation can offer. I’m sure you understand,” the Ithorian replied.

“Very well, I will pay,” Rodaan replied.

The bearded Jedi gave the 100 credits to the Ithorian. Now that the alien had his money, he left. Rodaan and his allies also walked on as well.

[Chapter 3 will be complete soon, as I feel under the weather at the moment and don't feel like writing]
