Membo actually felt embarrassed as his parents showed up. Why did she have to say 'little Membo'? Garo did not like what he was seeing one bit. No one was going to bully his son or nephews if he could help it. "Don't come near my son or his cousins again. Am I clear?"

The fawn just got nervous. "Now wait a minute...sir. I think we are just having a misunderstanding here. I wasn't bullying them. In fact I protected them from a bully. Ask them yourself. I was just playing games you see."

Garo didn't wait for either his son or nephews to answer that question. "I saw what I saw." he knew that he wouldn't hurt a fawn, but that's the kind of impression he had to make, "Do I have to repeat myself?"

The fawn kept pressing Garo. "Hey now wait a minute sir. Now listen for a second please. Now I am sure back in your days you handled any quarrels that you had with another fawn by 'beating them?'"

Garo answered the fawn's question with another question, "Does it change the fact that you just 'beat' my son?"

The fawn just answered back, "But I didn't."

Garo frowned, "We just saw you! Do you think I'm blind or something?"

The fawn said, "Whoah sir! Calm down. It was a game you see. The game was someone had to put a pinecone in their mouth and go to the opposite side of the meadow without getting knocked down."

Garo looked at the pinecone and soon realised that Membo would have looked like an idiot if he carried it infront of everyone in the meadow. "Oh is it now?" Maybe he should give that brat a taste of his own medicine. "Okay. Why don't you do it? Sounds like such a fun game."

The fawn just looked confused. "Okay. I'll do it sir." He took the pinecone in his mouth and started running.
