Yeah... He even wakes up crying after the nightmare in SP, and that was years later.

It's so sad D: Well, you would be upset if you saw your father fall to his death, then found out your uncle had killed him D: Poor, poor Simba :(

This is why I feel the TLK1½ parenting joke is so stupid. I know it's a parody but it's jus too unbelievable in this case to serve its purpose as funny to me. Not only that the duo are such immature scoundrels themselves and the only one who showed genuine caring for the child Simba, was Pumba... but anyway, I don't think Simba would ever call Timon or Pumbaa his Daddy/paps. Ever.

No way. Mufasa was more than his father, he was his friend. They had such a strong bond and thus, nobody could ever have taken his place. Simba could never have called anyone else Dad.
I always find myself wishing the two of them could have had more time together ='( Losing someone that important to you at such a young age is so completely unfair.

I agree. I've never thought of Timon and Pumbaa as Simba's parents. They were friends, pals but Timon and Pumbaa never raised Simba like a son. TLK 1 1/2 got it wrong ("Parenthood", "What's the matter, pops?", "Our Simba is growing up."). I think it's clear that Timon and Pumbaa see Simba as an equal ("You're an outcast! That's great, so are we." and a friend ("In short, our pal is doomed"). That's why Timon feels so threatened by Nala. They are a trio of bachelor friends not "mommy" and "daddy" raising a lost kid.

Agreed.

When I was 7, my cat passed on and I didn't sleep for the first week. Then the next week my dreams were tormented by my cat and I'd wake up bawling. And if I thought that was bad, losing your father and being blamed for it must be a living nightmare :(

To some of us it's even more literally contradicting as our translation on TLK had Timon say "Welscome to our bachelor box!" amd "Hey, kid, if you're in the gang, you eat like us." and before CYFTLN he literally said how the romantic atmosphere was destrying the box. And then there's also the fact that parenting anyone completely contradicts their motto! Gawd, TLK1½ makers were trying too hard to make parody, on expense of quality and logic.

What does this have to do with Simba's first night alone? We're not discussing how Timon and Pumbaa took care of him.

Simba must have been destroyed. :(

That first night of Simba's must have been absolutly devestating for him. He lost his father, gets exiled away from home when he's only just a little cub, and almost gets violently killed by the dangerous hyenas. That's really scary for all that to happen to such a little child like Simba. :cry2:
