Kovu's eyes?

I just blame it on Disney silliness again. Kovu's eyes change a lot probably because there were a couple of different ideas on how Kovu's eyes should look, and the animators didn't pay enough attention to make him consistently one way or the other. *shrug* Or maybe to show off his pretty green eyes :3

Ah, that was one thing that always annoyed me with SP, Kovu's eyes >.> Yeah, your puipls get smaller when there is a lot of light, so that too much light doesn't get in, and larger when there isn't very much light, like you were in a dark room etc. There isn't much explaination to why Kovu's eyes are so weird o3o They look lifeless, there is no reflection in them either

Dont have a clue lol but people told me light effects the pupils.. dont know if its true though..

Yeah, it's true. i had an operation on my eye when I was like 6 or 7, and i've always had glasses, so I would know lol xD

Light is reflected off objects and projected upside down into the cornea, which bends and send these rays through the pupil. The iris (Colored part of your eye) Sort of opens and closes to let more or less light into the eye when needed, eg. Your eyes would need more light in a dark place... That's the basis of it anyway, i could get all technical but I can't be bothered lol xD

I think it was just to show him going from bad to good. If you look his claws where always out before but after that rhino run with Kiara his pawns where like normal again.

Agreed. I always believed that Kovu's pupils were small because he was an ally to Zira at that time; this overall gives him more of a scary and evil appearence. Thus I think the pupils change when he's bad and good; from what I remember, his pupils are enlargened by his acts of love. It gives him more of a friendly appearence.

I mean, I don't seriously think that sequel-Disney would have that much attention towards the lighting of the scene and how it effects the eyes.

I fully agree with both of those reasons.
