Kiara looked at Nova. "Thats very nice dear." she said. " Now I must find your father."

[xLilacVixenx]

The agitated lion was pacing around the outskirts of the Pride Lands trying to calm himself down.

"Facts:" he said as he attempted to organize all the thoughts that ran through his brain. "1. We have at least three new rogues joining my pride on probation. 2. I yelled at my sister. 3..." he ended at three and wearily threw himself on the ground with an ashamed expression on his face.

"3. I'm a terrible king," Kovu finished with a slight sob. He rested his face into his arms and gave forth hot, dripping tears openly.

[Pixie]

Kiara saw Kovu in a heap on the ground. "Kovu...?" she whispered. "Are you ok?"

Kovu lifted his tear-stained eyes quickly as Kiara approached. He shrugged as it were no matter, but his face and appearance told otherwise. The lion sighed and laid his head down wearily.

"Nothing really," he explained quietly.

[Pixie]

Kiara sighed. "Kovu..." she said. "Please, don't shut me out". She walked over to him and lay down against him, nuzzling his mane.

Kovu glanced at his wife almost disdainfully, but softened as she rubbed her soft forehead on his face. With a loving smile engraved on his lips, he licked her cheek and nuzzled her back.

"I'm sorry, Dear. I suppose I've been rather stressed lately." He confessed slowly.

[Pixie]

"I know, Kovu. But that isn't a reason to act the way you are. You know I am here for you, don't forget that. These cubs pose no real threat, and I'm sure you remember what it was like to be in their position." She said, liking his cheeck back. She looked into his eyes. "I love you." she said simply.

A smile spread across Kovu's face at his mate's reassuring words.

"I love you, too," he whispered as he fondly nuzzled her back. Kiara's forehead was soft and warm, making him feel very comfortable about the situation. He drew his head back and gazed lovingly into his mate's warm, brown eyes. "I think we'd better go back," he proclaimed as he began padding off to Pride Rock.

The whole scope of the current situation were making his brain weary. Could these lion cubs be trusted? Was he just overreacting? Maybe they aren't so bad... pondered Kovu to himself. They are just cubs. As quickly as the thoughts entered his head, however, he quickly jutted them out and told himself to be firm but kind to the cubs. It's the only reasonable way to treat newcomers, he concluded.

Kiara was thankful that Kovu listened to her words. She followed him back to Priderock and thought more about what to do with the cubs.

Vitani ran up to them. "Everything settled?" She asked. Smiling as big as her face would let her.
