Hints about Kopa?
I always thought that when Timon and Pumbaa said that that they meant Kopa
It was the cub Simba they refered to. The only lion "little guy" they'd known in the films and taught to butb and dig crubs. :)

I think the creators of TLK were making fun of T&P thinking it was a boy. It would have been rather stupid of them to make fun of viewers :P

Well, it was just a thought. They're not exactly confirming it's poking fun of viewers so even if it was, I don't think it would be stupid. It's like, a viewer can take the hint if it's ok for their sense of humour. Those who'd get offended by such poke, probably wouldn't take the hint because it's well hidden in the story scene. But as said, it was just a thought and possibility. Might just as well be nothing more but another comical scene with Timon & Pumbaa. :)

Yep. I personally think that it must be. Kopa was known only in USA. This film is world wide. And I'd say a film makers intent to make sense for each and every viewer in their references. As in, refering to Simba whome everyone knows. Not Kopa, who is widely unknown.

Yeah, not to mention the one they spent their time a lot with was Simba, not Kopa. Even in the books Kopa didn't really hang out with them.

You can say that again. If it weren't for the internet and all these "Zira killed Kopa" theories, he would be a complete stranger to me. So, it makes no sense to include references of him in SP.
Timon and Pumbaa have a special bond with Simba. They were hoping they could have one with his little "boy".

in tlksp
ZAZU:Nothing there but a bunch of backstabbing, murderous Outsiders!
SIMBA:Zazu's right... you can't turn your back on them.
KIARA:
Really? How come?
SIMBA:
Mmm... never mind. Just run along now.

See how Simba is avoiding the conversation this is one of the reasons why i think Zira murdered Kopa.

Simba was avoiding it was because Scar murdered Mufasa, and he couldn't trust Zira being a follower of Scar, so he banished them. It doesn't mean anything about Kopa.
