OOC: Time for the first siting of the bad guys

Kivuli smiled at his friend and spoke 'Cause they do not believe in it. Now get some rest' Zeke lay his head down and went to sleep. Kivuli followed

Night decended over the African Savannah. A cool breeze swept by alonf with the rain fall. The lions in their cave were fast asleep with nothing to disturb them. Little they did they know that just over the outlands another pride came closer to the Pridelands. The l group, about 8 strong, had made their way for a distant land to come here. There were two lions out front leading the pack. They could not clearly been seen due to heavy rain and the dark weather. They stopped moving and lay to rest looking at the Pridelands. One of the lions spoke 'There it is, the Pridelands. I have waited quite some time to come here. We have to be careful they can be very organsied and quite dangerous. We move tomorrow' The group then lay to rest for the night takign shelter under overhangs and small trees

Dawn came. The rain had stopped and the sunrise made the water across the savannah glow a radient mix of reds and oranges. Kivuli was the first to wake with the light. He saw everyone was asleep and so gave just a quiet yawn. He stood up. He then looked over at Zeke who was resting well. Her already looked alot better from the previous days actions. Kivuli then made his way through the cave trying not disturb anyone. He then spotted Amanda in her little cave. He padded over to see her. After giving a gentle smile and then gave a friendly nuzzle. She had done so much for him for a lion her age. He was happy to call her a friend. Kivuli eventually made his way out and up to the tip of priderock overlooking the land. He sat and watch still amazing by the beauty such a place held

Amanda opened her eyes slowly, then blinked a couple of times in the bright sunlight that streamed into the cave. It always woke her up. For a second she was unsure of who that large grey lion standing outside the cave was. Then the events of the previous day came hurtling back to her. That was Kivuli, and he was just sitting outside enjoying the early morning sunshine. Amanda decided not to get up just yet; it was a little early and she needed to think. The rain had finally stopped but everything outside was still dripping with water. Maybe she and Fura could go splashing in the puddles later after all.
Today was the day Amanda would talk to her mother about trusting Kivuli and Zeke more, and the day she finally asked Kivuli how the fight last night between Zeke and Simba began. She would also see how Zeke was doing, and maybe participate in another hunt later on. Amanda sighed. It would be a very busy day.
Everyone else was still asleep. Amanda wondered why Kivuli had gotten up so early. I guess he's an early riser, she thought. All the lionesses were breathing softly as they slept. Only Simba was snoring. Fura was kicking in her sleep, dreaming of fighting some unseen hyenas. Semira was murmuring under her breath. Amanda looked over at Zeke. He was lying still as a rock. Maybe he was still not out of his coma. Amanda loved hearing all the peaceful sounds of the lions in the cave sleeping. It was always so calm and quiet and was the best time to think.

The grey lion enjoyed teh morinf breeze as it blew through his mane, with the fresh smell of moring dew put a smile right on his face. He lay down legs drooping over the edge. He was so relaxed, he needed that after yesterdays clashes. It was all better now though

The sun was now higher in the sky. Many lionesses were starting to wake up and grooming themselves. Amanda decided that maybe she had get up as well. She got out of her dug-out hole, took a quick stretch, then went to find Kivuli outside.
"Morning Kivuli." she said as she trotted up. Amanda flopped down next to him and looked out at the beautiful savannah before her. She rarely got to experience such as spectacular view of the whole kingdom since Semira was always afraid of her falling over the edge. But this time she had Kivuli to save her in case anything happened.
Amanda looked up at her friend and laughed when she saw how amazed he was by the view. He'd obviously never seen anything like it. "Don't worry, you'll get used to it." she teased.

Kivuli snapped out of it and spoke to Amanda 'I hope so, it is truly amazing' As Kivuli looked out across he thought to himself. What would he do today? He was so used to moving around it was weird being still and calm. He turned to amanda again. 'what are you doing today?' he asked

Amanda kicked a pebble, making it fall down over the edge. She never knew when it hit the ground. "I dunno, maybe play with Fura or go hunting with my mom again?" she answered at last. "I could use some practice." There was a brief silence. "I'm really sorry about my mom Kivuli." Amanda cried out suddenly, unable to hold it any longer. "I don't know why she doesn't trust people but she's been like that for as long as I can remember and she won't let me talk to anyone outside of our pride because she thinks they're dangerous but I don't know why because I can tell they're not and she never listens to me when I tell her so!" she blurted out.

Kivuli saw Amandas tears and felt sorry. All she wanted was to make friends and was being held back. kivuli pulled Amanda over to lean on his leg. His paw then held her gently on her back. Another butterly came into range of Kivuli. Like the day before he grabbed it and brought iit down. He placed it on her nose and smiled 'How would you like to hunt with me today? I can show you some cool tricks'

Amanda's heart lifted, then sank again. "Hunting? I might have to ask my mom first." she said glancing anxiously toward the cave. She was worried that Semira might not let her go alone with Kivuli. But she knew Semira wasn't up yet so she didn't have to worry about it just now.
"When she wakes up I'll ask her." she told him. Kivuli nodded and continued to stare out absently at the scenery. Amanda looked too. There was another pause. "What's it like being a wanderer?" she asked after a while. "It must be really cool getting to go wherever you want without your mom constantly telling you to wipe the mud off your paws." Amanda rolled her eyes.

[Zeke]

As he began to wake up, Zeke was beginning to feel the pain comming back. His eyes snapped open and he tried to stand up, but fell once more, forgetting his condition. He lay on the ground motionless, except for his head that rotated, observing his surroundings in the morning daylight. He growled as the pain lingered all throughout his body and searched for his friend to no avail.

Kivuli burst out laughing at Amanda's expression. After he settled down he answered her 'It is great. Totally free to explore the lands. I have seen some amazing places or lions cant even imagine.' He stoppepd and looked at her. She seemed so interested. Lik she wanted that life herself 'But it is very dangerous and can get vey lonely'
