It didn't even seem like that long before all of a sudden the two lions came behind Chanya and saw the same thing that she was seeing. Zera looked at both of them, back and forth, trying to find some kind of calmness in the situation. She knew what it looked like, but she couldn't very well tell them that it wasn't the way it looked at all. From what she had assumed Taro and Eeve had seen, there was no falter in her mind that there was speculation on what Sius and Zera really were to each other. Zera knew the answer, and she was sure that Sius did as well from what just happened, but even she was drawing a blank of what to say. It was so obvious though, tell them the truth. Sius and I are just friends. That's all he ever was, and that's all he'll ever be. But nothing was coming out of her mouth. If only these were a bunch of mind-readers, but that probably wouldn't bode well for her when it came to how she thought of Taro.
She had been silent for a while, and it was probably starting to make Eeve want to rip her throat apart. She doubted Eeve could, but she still knew something about that lioness when it came to feelings. Disgusting, troublesome feelings. Sure enough, out sprang a growl from Eeve, and though Zera wasn't trying to start anything she snarled back lightly to warn Eeve that even though she was mad, that was no way to behave. When she started receiving glares from her and Chanya, she knew she had really gotten herself into deep hyena poop. I can't even have a friend without something going wrong. Why does there have to be so much drama? Her eyes were drifting from one body to the next until she heard Taro spoke. His smooth and attractive voice was just as handsome as himself, and he seemed to believe in more than what appearances had on a situation-- unlike Eeve, who probably would have gotten into a fight with Zera by now if he wasn't by her side.
But now she was faced with telling the truth-- something she was good at, and also had complications with, especially when it came to talks about emotions. Her emotions towards Sius were he was the best friend she had had in a while, and her emotions with Taro were he was someone who made her feel like she was on Cloud 9. Shouldn't the feelings for Taro outweigh the ones for her keeping quiet? She could have a real shot at having a mate who would stick around for a long time if she played her cards right. She looked at Chanya, who was mimicing Eeve's angry positioning and facial features, and then at the leader of the fit of rage. She felt her temper cracking and cracking all while she looked at the two opposing lionesses and didn't say anything. Finally, something in her broke and she had the words come into a line better than she had thought she would. "Because he's not looking for drama all the time" she replied. She started to walk away before she looked down at Chanya, "and I can actually stand him". With that, she pushed past Chanya not too forcefully and made her way back to the den.
Upon re-entering the den, she saw both males that she had yet to come and trust all around Syira's passed out body. Due still to her lack of patience and understanding of where these two males were coming from and why they were here, she let out a mild few growls through her teeth before eying them and laying herself beside Syira. You're the only one who I seem to be able to stay with and not feel like I want to clock you right now, thought Zera while she closed her eyes and placed her head on Syira's shoulder. Mostly only because she was passed out and unable to say anything, Zera still took some comfort in Syira being in the pride with her. Though she needed some protecting right now and there was no where for Zera to really go where she could feel like she was needed or wanted. This was turning out, for her, to be a chance at something good but somehow it was turning out badly at the same time.

Zera walked past Chanya with a light nudge to get the smaller lioness to move and walk past the three of them. There, Sius was left in front of the three, while Chanya watched the taller lioness leave with her temper no doubt steaming and making its way down to boil over her heart strings. Of course, Chanya played it up and presented herself as thrown back more than lightly pushed. Into Taro's body she was 'thrown back' and she didn't move from him. "Ouch!" She closed her eyes and pinned them back like there was more pain and damage done to her body. She looked up at Taro before she nuzzled into him, "I don't know why she doesn't like me; I haven't done anything wrong".
