I hate Scar for killing Mufasa, and attempting to kill Simba, but at the same time I love him because he is such an awesome villain. He is just perfect, and also very complicated with an interesting history. In my opinion, Scar has some of the best (and most dramatic) lines in the whole movie.

That scene is key to the movie although I can understand why some people might not like it, but for me, it's too important to the plot of the movie to dislike. Plus, it shows just how evil and cunning Scar truly is. ^^ I definitely don't hate the scene but obviously, my feelings towards Scar in those regards are not exactly the most pleasant. hehe. ^^ You have to give it to him though, it was a brilliant plan.

Oh, yeah... The rest of the movie wouldn't happen if Scar didn't do it. Well, he is the boss, or how to say. Like a game ^^

lol, Scar is indeed an important character for the plot of TLK. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't experience a cubby gasp moment where something shocks us/surprised. For instance, the death of Mufasa. >.> Sure, it's a very emotional scene but a very dramatic one at that. In the end though, Scar was defeated. ^^

I just finished watching TLK and SP. I loved how Simba used Nalas kicking move to send Scar flying. (When Scar jumped on top of him, Simba used his hind legs to kick Scar in the belly.)
(Nala uses the same move to pin Simba. By applying the full force of her hindlegs to Simbas belly, he and Nala rolls around in midair, allowing Nala to come on top and use her front legs to push down on Simbas chest and pin him to the ground.)
