Anyway, yeah, the dark mane is supposed to be evil. Although it would be interesting to see Disney try to do an albino bad guy or something, and test their designing capabilities.

Also, Simba was supposed to be white, really white. But for some reason Kimba he was changed to golden.

Aw, what a shame =( Kimba's better Even Disney's lawers aren't that good xD And considering Disney did try and prevent the Kimba movie that was coming out in 1998 from being shown

but anyway, it's to symbolize the difference between good and evil, simple.

I saw something about that on TV, and yes, they proved that the lions with darker manes are more attractive. I think it is the way it is in the movie because black usually represents the evil characters.
