Leah looked at him disgusted, not knowing what to say.

Garo sighed, looking up and noticing that it really was dusk already, "Hopefully." he was feeling concerned for his friend.

Thumper answered, remembering his own experiences, "Maybe she's upset about something."

The buck continued laughing at Ronno. "Hey aren't you going to protect her? Some buck you are!"

Gurri looked at Garo, "I hope so too."

Bambi the skunk nodded but said, "What could she be upset about?"

Leah couldn't help seeing Ronno like this. "Stop it! You've won already. Just do what you came here for and leave me alone." she begged, hoping that he would just stop.

Garo wasn't sure about something though. The whole family thing was messing with his head, and he had no idea on how he was going to talk to Gurri about it without looking like a complete idiot.

Thumper shrugged, "It could be almost anything. But I think it would be best if you asked her that, it'll show you that you care." he then looked at him, "You do care about her right?"

The buck smiled and said, "Very well. Get over there!" He pointed to beyond the treeline. Ronno then got up and tried to charge him yet again but this time it felt like nothing. "Alright now I'm going to kill you old one."

Gurri looked at Garo's face noticing he was thinking about something and looked confused. "Uh is there something on your mind Garo?" She waited patiently for his answer.

Bambi the skunk nodded but said, "Uh it is just that I am really shy and am not very good at talking to other people if you understand what I am saying." He looked at Thumper and said, "I'll try."

Leah was about to do as the buck said, but again stopped when Ronno attacked again. She looked away this time, she couldn't look.

Garo cursed in his mind. Why did she always have to notice it whenever he was bothered by anything? "Uh... No, not at all." he tried to cover for it, "I'm just... hoping that Geno comes back soon, that's all."

Thumper grinned at this, "You are definintely your father's son." he then realised that this was probably going to be had for the shy skunk, but figured that he should at least try.

Ronno then felt an adrenaline rush and knocked the buck over again and again. It was the buck now who was hurt. "Ugh..."

Gurri nodded and said, "Okay. Very well Garo. I am sure he will. We have to believe he will." She smiled at Garo and whispered to him, "Once we find Geno I want you to know my father is not here tonight."

Bambi the skunk said, "Yes sir. I am." He then looked at Thumper and nodded saying, "Thank you for the advice." The doe meanwhile finally laid down and tried to go to sleep.

When Leah finally cared look, it was Ronno who was on his feet and the buck on the ground. She was too amazed and relieved to do or say anything.

Garo looked at her with a confused expression, before realising what she meant. "Oh, really?" he started nervously, trying to somehow stop the conversation, which again caused him to feel stupid for backing off.

Thumper just smiled, silently saying 'you welcome'. He then noticed that it was getting late, and sighed as he realised that he wont be finding either of his friends today.

Ronno continued hitting the buck until he didn't move. He then looked at Leah and smiled but fell down.

Gurri whispered to him, "Yes really." She then decided to let Garo think a little so she remainded silent. She then looked at Faline and said, "Mom I better see where Geno is."

Bambi the skunk went ahead and said, "Well I'm going to go back to Long Ears' place." The doe meanwhile again had that dream and tried to get Geno out of her mind. She wanted to not see him but then again she did. She was confused.

Leah didn't even check to see whether that buck was dead, she didn't care. "Ronno?" she asked worriedly, laying down by his side, "Are you alright?"

Garo expected himself to grow even more nervous at this, but he actually smiled slightly at her. He suddenly figured out that he shouldn't have been apprehensive about it in the first place, but his mind suddenly shifted to Geno, "We should probably start looking for him."

Thumper said goodbye, and then decided that he would settled in for the night once Geno was found.

Geno was walking silently, untill he could see a doe and two other bucks. One seemed passed out and the other seemed injured. 'Is that?...' Geno wondered to himself, before recognising Garo's parents. He rushed over to them ,"Ronno?" he never thought he'd sound concerned about him, "What happened here?"

Ronno looked up. his face full of blood, and said, "Yes I am fine why do you ask." Suddenly he saw Geno and said to him, "I was weak. That is what happened." He looked at Leah and said, "That buck was right about one thing. I can't protect you. You deserve someone better than me."

Gurri nodded but said to Garo, "It is probably better if I look for him alone." She went off by herself and Faline said to Garo, "I am sure they will both be fine." She knew her fawns were grown up now.

Bambi the skunk went ahead to Long Ears' den.

The doe just tried to fall back asleep but couldn't.
